A first light emitting unit includes M (M≥2) first light emitting elements provided in series. A second light emitting unit including N (N<M) second light emitting elements and a switching transistor are provided on a path parallel to the first light emitting unit. A constant-current driver is connected in series to both the first light emitting unit and the second light emitting unit, and generates a drive current. A drive circuit includes a capacitor provided between a gate and a drain of the switching transistor, and causes the gate of the switching transistor to generate a drive signal according to a switching signal.

Light source module and lighting circuit

A semiconductor light source and a constant current circuit are arranged in series between an input terminal and a ground terminal. When an input voltage at the input terminal exceeds a predetermined threshold voltage, a load dump circuit cuts off or reduces a current that flows through the constant current circuit.

Vehicle lamp

An automotive lamp includes a temperature-sensing element having an electrical state that changes according to the temperature T of a semiconductor light source, and a constant current driver that generates a driving current Ithat corresponds to the temperature T. The maximum value of the temperature differential of the driving current Iin a first temperature range from a reference temperature Tto a first temperature T(T>T) is smaller than the maximum value of the temperature differential of the driving current Iin a second temperature range from the first temperature Tto a second temperature T(T>T).

Lighting circuit

A light source module is switchable between a high beam and a low beam, and is mounted on a vehicle. A first light source is arranged such that its output light is irradiated to a low-beam region by a first optical system. A second light source is arranged such that its output light is irradiated to a high-beam region by a second optical system. A lighting circuit supplies a driving current to the first light source in response to a turn-on instruction for either the high beam or the low beam. Furthermore, the lighting circuit supplies the output current to the second light source in response to a turn-on instruction for the high beam.

Light source module

There is provided a rear sign lamp capable of enhancing safety. An LED string () includes four LEDs (_to_) connected in series. An LED driver circuit () receives a battery voltage (V) and supplies a drive current (I) stabilized at a target current (I) to the LED string (). A bypass circuit () is provided in parallel with a bypassed portion () including two adjacent LEDs (_and_) of the LED string (), and sinks a bypass current (I) according to a battery voltage (V).

A light source unit includes a board, a resin-molded unit formed using a resin material as a base material and having thermal conductivity, and a socket housing including a heat sink formed of a metal material, and a board attachment portion to which the board is attached and a covered surface which is covered with the resin-molded unit, wherein the resin-molded unit is formed with a holding hole communicating with the covered surface, and the heat sink and the resin-molded unit are formed by integral molding when a portion of the covered surface and a portion of the attachment surface are pressed by a portion of a mold inserted through the holding hole and another portion of the mold, respectively.

Light source unit and vehicular lamp

In one embodiment of a light source unit, the heat-dissipation plate is provided with a first heat-dissipation portion in contact with the substrate, the resin molding part is provided with a plurality of heat-dissipation fins and an engaging portion to be engaged with a predetermined member, and the socket housing is formed by an integral molding of the heat-dissipation plate and the resin molding part.

Light source unit, method of manufacturing the same, and vehicle lamp

A light source unit includes a light emitting element which functions as a light source, a wiring pattern on which the light emitting element is mounted, an electrode pad connected to the wiring pattern, a substrate on which the wiring pattern is formed and the electrode pad is mounted, a power supply body which supplies external power to the electrode pad, and a socket housing which has an engaging portion engaged with a predetermined member and holds the substrate, the light emitting element and the power supply body. The power supply body has a terminal holding portion formed of an insulating resin material and a connection terminal supported by the terminal holding portion and connected to an external power supply. The connection terminal and the electrode pad are connected to each other by a conduction connecting part.

Light source unit and vehicle lamp fitting

A light source unit of one embodiment includes a socket housing, a light emitting module, a substrate, a sealing part, and a lens part. The sealing part seals the light emitting element and the conductive part to the substrate. A lens part is formed on the sealing part. Alastic modulus of the lens part is higher than that of the sealing part.

An LED unit according to the invention has a resin housing which is detachably assembled to a vehicle lamp, a lead frame which has a terminal portion which is connected to an exterior terminal, an LED mounting portion and a control part mounting portion and lead frame which is provided integrally on the housing, an LED which is mounted on the LED mounting portion, and a control part which is mounted on the control part mounting portion for controlling the illumination of the LED. The lead frame has a support resin which is a resin material which holds the LED mounting portion in such a way as to surround the LED mounting portion. The lead frame is bent to a back side of the LED at areas outside the support resin, and the control part mounting portion and the terminal portion are formed respectively by the bent portions.

A light source unit includes a socket, a heat dissipation member, a board and a semiconductor light emitting element. The socket has a first thermal conductivity and includes a portion that defines a first side and a second side. The heat dissipation member has a second thermal conductivity being higher than the first thermal conductivity. The board is disposed on the first side. The semiconductor light emitting element is supported by the board. The socket is an injection-molded member. The heat dissipation member includes a first portion and a second portion. The first portion is disposed on the first side, extends in a first direction, and supports the board. The second portion includes a portion extending in a second direction intersecting with the first direction, as a result of being subjected to bending processing. A part of the second portion is disposed on the second side.
