The present invention provides an AC generator for a vehicle, in which a resin case () includes convex portions () formed on an outer circumferential surface of the resin case () so as to extend in an axial direction of the resin case () to be brought into pressure-contact with an inner circumferential wall surface of a counter drive-side bearing housing portion (), and convex portions () formed on an inner circumferential surface of the resin case () so as to be opposed to the convex portions (). The concave portions () allow displacement of the convex portions () in a radially inward direction of the resin case (). By an elastic force generated by the displacement of the convex portions (), the resin case () is integrated with the counter drive-side bearing housing portion ().

Rotating electric machine

To obtain a rotating electric machine with a simple configuration, including a clearance filling member which can be easily assembled to a bearing housing portion without requiring time and does not adversely affect an outer race of a bearing, provided is an AC generator for a vehicle including a resin case () including: a case main body portion (); an extending portion () formed integrally with the case main body portion (), the extending portion () extending toward a rotor () beyond an end surface of the counter drive-side bearing () housed inside the counter drive-side bearing housing portion (); and a convex portion () formed on an outer circumferential surface of the extending portion (), the convex portion () being configured to be held in pressure contact with the inner circumferential wall surface of the counter drive-side bearing housing portion ().

An automotive alternator is provided that has a brush holder assembly that reduces exclusive circumferential space for the brush holder assembly inside a rear bracket, and that also reduces entry of water, dust, etc., into a regulator circuit housing portion. The brush holder assembly has a base and a plate. The base is prepared by molding a brush holder portion, a regulator circuit housing portion, and a connector portion integrally, and the plate is mounted to the brush holder portion, and has a cover portion that closes the resin injection aperture of the regulator circuit housing portion. The brush holder portion, the regulator circuit housing portion, and the connector portion are formed so as to be positioned such that respective center lines thereof are in a common plane that includes a central axis of the rotating shaft. A lead-through opening that is formed on the rear bracket so as to allow the connector portion to be led through is generally closed by the connector portion and the cover portion.

Automotive alternator

An automotive alternator is provided that reduces exclusive circumferential space for a regulator assembly inside a rear bracket, and that also increases performance in cooling the regulator assembly and a rectifier by ensuring that flows of air that cool the regulator assembly and the rectifier do not interfere with each other. An approximately C-shaped rectifier is disposed in a vicinity of a rotating shaft, and a regulator assembly is disposed between two end portions of the approximate C shape of the rectifier. A brush holder portion, a regulator circuit housing portion, and a connector portion that constitute a regulator assembly are positioned such that respective center lines thereof are in a common plane that includes a central axis of the rotating shaft. A partitioning wall is disposed so as to project from an inner wall surface of the rear bracket so as to separate a rectifier cooling airflow passage for cooling the rectifier and a regulator circuit cooling airflow passage for cooling the regulator circuit by stopping circumferential flow of air that is sucked in through the suction aperture to cool the rectifier and the regulator circuit respectively.

There is provided an in-vehicle AC generator having a regulator assembly that is mounted in the bracket of the AC generator. The regulator holding unit provided in the regulator assembly has a containing portion in which at least the whole periphery of an opening is surrounded by a wall member; a circuit unit of the regulator is inserted into the containing portion through the opening; the heat sink for the regulator is held by the containing portion in such a way that the peripheral portion thereof is adhered to the wall member that surrounds the whole periphery of the opening, and closes the opening; and the containing portion is provided with a resin filled in the vicinity of the contained circuit unit.

Manufacturing method of a coil assembly

A rectifier of an alternator according to the present invention includes: a first heat sink; first unidirectional conducting element bodies that are disposed on a front surface of the first heat sink so as to be spaced apart; a second heat sink that is disposed so as to be separated from the first heat sink; second unidirectional conducting element bodies that are disposed on a front surface of the second heat sink so as to be spaced apart; and a circuit board that has a circuit board terminal by which the first unidirectional conducting element bodies and the second unidirectional conducting element bodies are connected so as to constitute a bridge circuit, and a terminal connection portion is configured by respectively connecting first terminals of the first unidirectional conducting element bodies and second terminals of the second unidirectional conducting element bodies adjacently in a common plane with the circuit board terminal. Thus, connection workability between the first terminals of first unidirectional conducting element bodies and the circuit board terminal and between the second terminals of second unidirectional conducting element bodies and the circuit board terminal is improved.

Terminal device for vehicle AC generator

A regulator assembly mounting threaded aperture is formed on an inner wall surface of a rear bracket, and a receiving recess portion is recessed into an inner wall surface of the rear bracket around the regulator assembly mounting threaded aperture.
