Provided are a threat-countering system and a threat-countering method for efficiently countering incoming threats by using laser irradiation. The threat-countering system comprises a countering device, a deterrent device, and a decision device. The countering device detects incoming threats and counters the threats by using laser irradiation. The deterrent device is installed to prevent threats from approaching a protected object through a deterrent region in which the power of the laser irradiation is assumed to be lower than a predetermined threshold. The decision device decides the position of the upper end of the deterrent device on the basis of the upper end of the deterrent region.

Threat countermeasure system and threat countermeasure method

A laser irradiation apparatus includes a controller configured to calculate a predicted movement position into which a target is predicted to move at a future specific time, a transmission laser source configured to generate a transmission laser, irradiation optics configured to emit the transmission laser to the target and emit a search laser to the predicted movement position and wavefront correction optics. The wavefront correction optics are configured to correct a wavefront of the transmission laser at the future specific time based on observation light that returns when the search laser is emitted to the predicted movement position.

The laser array is provided with a plurality of laser oscillators including a first laser oscillator () that irradiates first detection laser light and a second laser oscillator () that irradiates second dealing laser light. The detector obtains detection information based on reflected light () that is the first detection laser light reflected by a target (). The controller estimates a position of the target based on the detection information and generates a second dealing signal that instructs to irradiate the second dealing laser light to the estimated position of the target. The second laser oscillator irradiates dealing laser light to the estimated position of the target based on the second dealing signal.

Laser irradiation apparatus and storage medium storing laser irradiation program

Changing non-mechanically a direction of irradiating a laser. The laser apparatus includes an optical device and a laser irradiation device. The optical device has two reflection mirrors facing each other, and a waveguide between the two reflection mirrors. The laser irradiation device irradiates the optical device with laser. The optical device is configured so that at least a portion of the laser travels on the waveguide by being reflected by the two reflection mirrors in order. The optical device has an output surface that emits a portion of the laser. The laser irradiation device has a plurality of irradiation parts including a first irradiation part that irradiates a first laser and a second irradiation part that irradiates a second laser. When viewed from a normal direction of the output surface, a traveling direction of the first laser is not parallel to a traveling direction of the second laser.

Laser apparatus

An optical correction is predictively performed based on a result of AI learning previously performed by use of learning data including measurement data. The optical compensation system is provided with wavefront correction optics, a sensor and a controller. The wavefront correction optics corrects a wavefront of light that passes through a given optical path. The sensor obtains environmental information in the optical path. The controller calculates, based on the environmental information, a predicted wavefront disturbance of the light that has passed through the optical path and controls the wavefront correction optics so as to cancel the predicted wavefront disturbance.

Optical compensation system and optical compensation method

A laser tracking device includes an adjustment device, a telescope, and a drive device. The adjustment device modifies the emission direction of first light wave. The telescope emits the first light wave in the emission direction modified by the adjustment device. The drive device rotates the telescope based on a predicted path of a moving body. The adjustment device provides more precision in modifying the emission direction of the first light wave than in the drive device rotating the telescope. Further, the adjustment device modifies the emission direction to offset the modification of the emission direction caused by the rotation of the telescope from a time when a tracking start condition is satisfied until the moving body is detected.

Laser tracking device

An optical system that obtains characteristics of a transmission path in atmosphere, when laser light propagates through this transmission path, at a place separated from this transmission path and before the propagation, and corrects wavefront of the laser light based on the obtained characteristics, is provided. The optical system is provided with an irradiation device and an atmospheric characteristics obtaining system. The irradiation device irradiates an external target with light via a first optical path. The atmospheric characteristics obtaining system is arranged in a second optical path separated from the first optical path and obtains characteristics of atmospheric environment in the first optical path with respect to the irradiated light. The irradiation device is provided with wavefront correction optics. The wavefront correction optics correct wavefront of the irradiated light based on the obtained characteristics.

Provided is an information processing device that includes a planning unit that sets a joining route on the basis of information about at least one of a planned route of a user mobile unit that uses a service or a planned route of a provider mobile unit that provides the service, the joining route being a zone for the user mobile unit and the provider mobile unit to receive and provide the service, and makes a movement plan including at least one of a route plan for the user mobile unit or a route plan for the provider mobile unit based on the joining route. A laser beam irradiation apparatus including: a plurality of laser light sources emitting first laser beams; and a light-condensing optics system having an incident face on which the first laser beams are made incident and performing an optical operation on the first laser beams to emit second laser beams. The plurality of laser light sources are configured to emit the first laser beams so that beam diameters are expanded towards the incident face. Each first laser beam overlaps at least one of the other laser beams on the incident face. The light-condensing optics system is configured so that beam diameters of second laser beams emitted from the light-condensing optics system are minimal on a target face, and a distance between a center of each second laser beam and the optical axis on the target face is smaller than a beam radius of each second laser beam on the target face.

An underwater acoustic deception system deceives a sensor installed on a threat existing in or on water by acoustic effect in order to protect ships from the threat. The underwater acoustic deception system is provided with a control device, a laser oscillator and emission optical system. The control device determines a focusing position to focus a laser beam () in water in order to generate bubbles () at a desired position with a desired scale and emission parameters of the laser beam (). The laser oscillator generates the laser beam () configured to focus in water and generate bubbles. The emission optical system emits the generated laser beam () to the focusing position. The underwater acoustic deception system deceives an arbitrary sensor existing in the water by acoustic effect of the bubbles () on the surroundings.

A laser beam is condensed in a close position to a target object in underwater so as to generate an air bubble or plasma. The target object is efficiently destroyed by a shock by the air bubble or the plasma.

Underwater object destruction system and underwater object destruction method

A driving optical system is used to observe a disturbance of a wavefront of reference light received from a target and generate a wavefront in a conjugate relationship with the wavefront. A plurality of control signals are generated on a basis of a plurality of Zernike coefficients calculated as a Zernike polynomial which approximates the wavefront disturbance in order to respectively drive a plurality of deformable mirrors included in the driving optical system. An adaptive optical system is provided which can optically compensate a wavefront disturbance derived from an atmospheric fluctuation even in a case of radiating laser light to a target moving at a high speed.

A solid obstacle is removed with a high-power laser beam to establish a transmission path for a spatial laser communication. When a space in which the laser beam is transmitted is blocked off by the solid obstacle, the spatial laser communication cannot be carried out.

Laser communication system and laser communication method

A method of irradiating an electromagnetic pulse includes specifying a position of a target having electronic equipment; setting the light-condensing point based on the position of the target; and condensing the laser beam to generate plasma in the light-condensing point such that the electromagnetic pulse generated from the plasma is irradiated to the electronic equipment. In this way, a method and system for irradiating an electromagnetic pulse are realized which can irradiate the electromagnetic pulse of a large output while restraining diffusion of the electromagnetic pulse.
