The present disclosure describes a drain plug structure for an oil pan for an internal combustion engine. The drain plug structure closes off a drain hole disposed in a bottom portion of the oil pan. The drain plug structure includes a columnar stopper portion inserted into the drain hole and rotated to prevent withdrawal. A sealing member is fitted to an outer periphery of the columnar stopper portion. An operating portion for a rotation operation is disposed on an outside exposed end portion of the columnar stopper portion. A plurality of cantilevered arcuate arm portions project radially outwards from the outside exposed end portion of the columnar stopper portion and are arranged in series along a circumferential direction. A loosening-prevention meshing portion is disposed on a tip end portion of each arcuate arm portion and an opening edge portion of the drain hole.

[Problem to be Solved] To improve operability in detaching a sealing member. [Solution] A sealing structureaccording to the present invention includes a main body, a female thread partfixed to the main body, the female thread partbeing screwed into a discharge holeof a drain plug fastening partby the main bodybeing rotated in a normal rotation direction, and an elastically deformable arm part, one end of which is joined to the main body. A concave partis formed in the drain plug fastening partand a claw partis formed in the arm part. When the main bodyis rotated in the normal rotation direction, the arm partis elastically deformed while a part of the arm partslides on a top surfaceof the drain plug fastening partuntil the main bodyis rotated to a predetermined rotational position and, when the main bodyis rotated to the predetermined rotational position, the claw partfits in the concave partand the elastic deformation of the arm partis released, whereby the rotation of the main bodyfrom the predetermined rotational position is prevented. When the main bodyis rotated in a reverse rotation direction from the predetermined rotational position, the claw partslides on and climbs over a first wall partof the concave partwhile the arm partis elastically deformed, whereby the prevention of the rotation of the main bodyfrom the predetermined rotational position is released. Sealing structure

A head cover structured and arranged to cover at least part of a face of a cylinder head of an internal combustion engine is described. The head cover includes a chamber formation part structured and arranged to provide a chamber to restrain sound propagating through air from the cylinder head. The chamber formation part includes a partition part for partitioning the chamber from a space on a cylinder head side. The partition part has a convex part projecting into the chamber, and a through hole may be provided in the convex part that penetrates from the space on the cylinder head side to the chamber.

Disclosed is a structure for attachment of a drain nut to a synthetic resin cover. The cover has a nut engagement portion formed in an outer surface of the cover, a cylindrical engagement portion formed with a plurality of piece parts on an inner surface of the cover, and a stepped portion formed between the nut and cylindrical engagement portions. The drain nut has a nut portion engaged in the nut engagement portion, a female thread portion formed in the nut portion for screw-in of a drain plug, a cylindrical portion formed concentrically with the nut portion and engaged in the cylindrical engagement portion, a large-diameter portion formed between the nut and cylindrical portions and engaged in the stepped portion, with an O-ring held between the large-diameter portion and stepped portion, and a collar portion formed around the cylindrical portion and retained by front ends of the piece parts.

Disclosed is a blowby gas treatment device for an internal combustion engine with a supercharger, the blowby gas treatment device comprising: a fresh air introduction passage wherein one end of the fresh air introduction passage is connected to an upstream side of the supercharger and the other end is communicated with a crankcase of the internal combustion engine; a first blowby gas passage wherein one end of the first blowby gas passage is connected to a venturi part provided in an upstream side of the supercharger in the intake passage and the other end is communicated with the crankcase; a first check valve being interposed in the fresh air introduction passage and preventing a flow from the crankcase side to the intake passage side; and a second check valve being interposed in the blowby gas passage and preventing a flow from the intake passage side to the crankcase side.

An oil separator disposed inside a cylinder head cover of an internal combustion engine. The oil separator includes a body section defining an elongate separator chamber and having a blowby gas inlet and a blowby gas outlet. A partition wall is disposed to divide the separator chamber into an inlet chamber at side of the blowby gas inlet and an outlet chamber at side of the blowby gas outlet. The partition wall is formed with a plurality of passage holes each of which is triangular in cross-section. A collision plate is disposed inside the outlet chamber and located opposite to the passage holes of the partition wall. A slit-like opening is defined by a lower section of the collision plate and communicated with a drain section for discharging oil separated from blowby gas into a valve operating chamber.

Oil separator for internal combustion engine

An oil separator provided in combination with a cylinder head cover of an internal combustion engine. The oil separator includes a separator cover fixed to an inner surface of the cylinder head cover defining a space extending in a first direction perpendicular to axis of a camshaft in plan, between the separator cover and the cylinder head cover. The separator cover has an opening through which the space is opened to a valve operating chamber. A partition wall is provided to define in the space an inlet-side separator chamber and an outlet-side separator. The partition wall extends in a second direction parallel with the axis of the camshaft and being formed with a plurality of fine passages. Additionally, a plurality of projection walls project from a part of the inner surface of the cylinder head cover which faces the valve operating chamber through the opening.
