A measure for selective fluorescent labeling of the Golgi apparatus, which has low cytotoxicity and excellent intracellular stability, is provided. According to the present invention, provided are a ceramide derivative represented by the following Chemical formula 1: in the formula, Ris an alkyl group having 1 to 12 carbon atoms, Ris an alkyl group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, and n is an integer of 1 to 20, and a Golgi apparatus-labeling fluorescent probe using the same.

An ultraviolet ray protection agent including a compound having an ultraviolet ray protection effect as an active ingredient. The compound is expressed by general formula I': wherein X represents NH or O; Y&#x2032; represents a vinyl group substituted by a methyl group or a phenyl group, or a phenyl group substituted by a methoxy group or a fluorine atom, or a naphthyl group; and Z represents a phenyl group substituted by a methyl group, a carboxyl group or a nitro group, or a naphthyl group. The compound represented by the general formula I&#x2032; includes both novel compounds of the present invention and known compounds. The ultraviolet ray protection agent of the present invention offers outstanding ultraviolet ray protection effectiveness and is very safe.

The present invention relates to a substrate having an organic metal complex bonded on the surface thereof, which is prepared by the vapor deposition of a sulfur atom onto a substrate followed by bonding of an organic metal complex such as tetrakis-triphenylphosphine palladium [Pd(PPh)] to the surface of the substrate; a substrate bonded transition metal catalyst using said substrate; and a method for the preparation thereof. An automatic tab plate welding apparatus welds a tab plate to the predetermined corner of a plate. A tab plate table supports the tab plate and determines the position of the tab plate relative to the forward direction of the plate, the widthwise direction of the plate, the vertical direction of the top surface of the plate, and the angle of inclination to the top surface of the plate. A welding torch is also positioned in operative association with the positioning of the plate described above.

A large-diameter welded steel pipe having a straight seam and tab plates attached to its ends as extensions of the seam is laid along a setting line with the seam upward. An apparatus for treating the ends of such a pipe has a tab plate cutting unit and a bead removing unit. The tab plate cutting unit cuts the tab plates off with a torch. The bead removing unit removes the weld beads on the inner surface of the ends of the pipe by cutting them with a rotary cutter.
