Solar cell module and method of manufacturing the solar cell module

A photovoltaic module capable of suppressing separation of a tab electrode can be obtained. The photovoltaic module includes a plurality of semiconductor layers including a photoelectric conversion layer, a plurality of photovoltaic elements including a finger electrode for collecting generated currents, formed on the semiconductor layers on a side of a light receiving surface, and a tab electrode for electrically connecting the plurality of photovoltaic elements, in which the tab electrode is electrically connected to the finger electrode in a region corresponding to a power generation region of the photovoltaic element and bonded on the light receiving surface through an insulating bonding material.

Photovoltaic module

A double-side light receiving solar cell in a planer regular hexagon shape and having first electrodes on both surfaces are divided into four pieces by a line A-A' connecting two opposing apexes and by a line B-B&#x2032; perpendicular to the line A-A&#x2032; and connecting center points on two opposing sides. By matching oblique lines of two divided pieces without misalignment and with respective surfaces in an inversed state, the first electrodes on the same side of the two divided pieces align along the same single straight line. Then, the first electrodes that are on the same side are connected with a first inter connecter, thereby constructing a unit having a rectangular outline. Units thus constructed are arranged so that relevant sides match without misalignment. By handling on a unit basis as described above, it is possible to facilitate an arrangement of the cells and an electricity connection work.

Manufacturing method of solar cell module, and solar cell and solar cell module

A solar battery cell having a hexagonal shape is divided into four at a straight line connecting between opposed apexes and a straight line connecting between middle points of opposed sides. Two of the divided cells are arranged without being turned upside down such that oblique sides thereof oppose each other; thus, a substantially rectangular-shaped unit is configured. In adjoining two units, an interconnector is routed from a front surface of one of the units to a back surface of the other unit. Thus, the two units are electrically connected to each other through the interconnector. Hence, it is unnecessary to route an interconnector from a front surface of one divided cell to a back surface of another divided cell at a portion where oblique sides of the divided cells oppose each other; therefore, it is unnecessary to secure a large clearance at the portion.

Solar battery module

This invention provides a photovoltaic module for preventing insulation failure between an outer frame and connection leads. The photovoltaic module comprises: a photovoltaic submodule including a plurality of solar cells interposed between two light-transmitting substrates through the intermediary of an encapsulant and the connection leads extending from an edge between light-transmitting substrates and outputting generated electric currents; a terminal box attached near an edge of the photovoltaic submodule and housing connected parts between the connection leads and cables for outputting the electric currents to the outside; and an outer frame fitting over peripheral edges of the photovoltaic submodule. A side, of the light-receiving side light-transmitting substrate, from which the connection leads are pulled out, is made large so as to extend outward further than the other light-transmitting substrate. The connection leads are led out from the edge between the two light-transmitting substrates to be guided into the terminal box.
