A radiation analysis apparatus includes an excitation source unit irradiating an object, for which the radiation analysis apparatus analyzes property or a structure, with a first radiation, a radiation detection unit including three or more radiation detectors that detect a second radiation generated from the object irradiated with the first radiation, a radiation focusing unit disposed between the object and the radiation detection unit, and focusing the second radiation, a position changing unit changing a relative positional relationship between the radiation focusing unit and the radiation detection unit, and a control unit controlling the position changing unit to change the positional relationship, based on first information which is stored in a storage unit and indicates an intensity distribution of the second radiation emitted from the radiation focusing unit and second information indicating a distribution based on a detection count of the second radiation detected by each of the radiation detectors.

Radiation analysis apparatus

A radiation analyzing apparatus includes a radiation irradiation unit configured to irradiate an object with a first radiation, a radiation detection unit configured to detect a second radiation generated from the object irradiated with the first radiation, a radiation converging unit configured to disposed between the object and the radiation detection unit and to converge the second radiation on the radiation detection unit, a position changing unit configured to vary a relative positional relationship between the radiation converging unit and the radiation detection unit, and a driving unit configured to change the positional relationship.

Radiation analyzing apparatus and radiation analyzing method

An X-ray analysis device includes an electron gun, an X-ray optical member, a first detection unit and a second detection unit, and a distance changing mechanism. The X-ray optical member guides characteristic X-rays emitted from a sample to at least any one of the first detection unit or the second detection unit. The first detection unit is formed such that energy resolution is given relative priority over counting efficiency in contrast to the second detection unit. The second detection unit is formed such that counting efficiency is given relative priority over energy resolution in contrast to the first detection unit. The distance changing mechanism changes the distance between each of the first detection unit and the second detection unit and the X-ray optical member in an axial direction of an optical axis of the X-ray optical member.

X-ray analysis device

An air-conditioning apparatus includes a compressor, a four-way valve, expansion means, and an indoor heat exchanger, and further includes a check valve disposed between a discharge side of the compressor and the four-way valve, a first solenoid valve disposed between the expansion means and the indoor heat exchanger, and a controller. Opening and closing of the first solenoid valve are controllable. The controller switches the four-way valve and switches the first solenoid valve between open and closed states. When a heating operation is stopped, the controller switches the four-way valve from connection for the heating operation to connection for a cooling operation, closes the first solenoid valve, and then stops the compressor.

Air-conditioning apparatus and railway vehicle air-conditioning apparatus

A wave height analyzer generates pre-sensitivity correction data using a radiation pulse signal transmitted from a room temperature amplifier, a heater value acquired from a temperature control section, a base line of a current flowing to a TES acquired from a base line monitor mechanism. The wave height analyzer outputs the pre-sensitivity correction data to a sensitivity correction arithmetic operation unit and receives post-sensitivity correction data, on which sensitivity correction is performed. The wave height analyzer generates composite data of a combination of the pre-sensitivity correction data and the post-sensitivity correction data. A spectrum display section receives pieces of composite data sequentially created by the wave height analyzer and displays at least one of a spectrum before sensitivity correction and a spectrum after sensitivity correction, in response to receiving an operator's request.

Radiation analyzing apparatus

For establishing a VPN connection in the call-back type, a VPN server establishes an always-on connection through a unique protocol different from the electronic mail delivery system. A client generates a client authentication data used for the client authentication implemented by the VPN server, and establishes the relay server through the unique protocol to transmit the client authentication data. The relay server device relays the client authentication data to the VPN server through the unique protocol. The VPN server implements the client authentication based on the relayed data. The VPN server establishes the VPN connection with the client based on the result of the authentication.

VPN connection system and VPN connection method

A radiation detector comprises an energy/electricity converter having a detection area for detecting incident radiation, and electrodes connecting the converter to an external driving circuit for driving the converter to convert energy of the incident radiation detected by the detection area of the converter into an electric signal. A collimator is integrally connected to the converter and has an opening for transmitting radiation to irradiate the detection area of the converter and portions for preventing radiation from irradiating a part of the converter other than the detection area. A spacer is integrally connected to the collimator and the converter for maintaining a preselected distance between the collimator and the detection area of the converter.

Radiation detector

A cooling apparatus has a liquid helium container for containing liquid helium, a vacuum chamber for providing heat insulation to external air, and a cooling head disposed in the vacuum chamber and capable of cooling down to a temperature region corresponding to the melting point of the liquid helium in the liquid helium container. An inlet port is disposed in the vacuum chamber for introducing thereinto the liquid helium stored in the liquid helium container. A vacuum heat insulation piping transfers liquid helium from the liquid helium container to the inlet port. A first piping is disposed in the vacuum chamber for transferring the liquid helium from the inlet port to the cooling head. A pump pumps liquid helium from the liquid helium container to the cooling head via the vacuum heat insulation piping, the inlet port and the first piping. A second piping transfers the liquid helium from the cooling head to the pump. At least part of the second piping is disposed in the vacuum chamber.

Cooling apparatus

A thermal printer includes a capstan roller and pinch roller, which feed a continuous color thermosensitive recording sheet from a recording sheet roll. A thermal head operates for image recording to the continuous recording sheet. A roll loading chamber is loaded with one of the recording sheet roll and a cleaning sheet roll. The cleaning sheet roll includes a continuous cleaning sheet wound in a roll form, and discernment indicia provided in a predetermined position. An information reading photoelectric sensor reads the discernment indicia. A controller causes the capstan roller and pinch roller to feed the continuous cleaning sheet when the discernment indicia is read, to wipe and clean the thermal head with the continuous cleaning sheet. In a preferred embodiment, a cutter precuts the continuous recording sheet in a precutting position distant by a predetermined length from a front edge of the continuous recording sheet, to remove a front edge portion.

Head cleaning method and device for thermal printer, and recording sheet roll for the same

In an electronic picture print system that is activated in response to the deposit of money and provides a printing service in accordance with the control of a user, a printer starts feeding paper upon detection of the deposit of money. While the user is selecting a background frame and taking a picture, the preparations for printing are completed. Therefore, the printing is started immediately in response to a printing instruction, and this reduces the time required for one play.

Printer

A thermal printer in which a sheet of recording paper is held by and between a thermal print head includes a plurality of heat generating elements and a platen drum, the amounts of heat of the heat generating elements are selectively changed, and an image is printed onto the recording paper. In the thermal printer, a printing position is set just behind a clamp position at which a clamp clamps the leading end of the recording paper onto the platen drum. Therefore, the image printing can be started immediately after the clamp position passes through the thermal head, with the recording paper being in part wound around the platen drum by the thermal printer. As a result, the time taken from paper feeding to printing starting can be reduced.

Thermal printer

A magnetic recording and reproducing apparatus which has a loading ring used to draw out a magnetic tape from a cassette mounted at a predetermined position and wind the magnetic tape around a rotary head drum. In the magnetic recording and reproducing apparatus, the loading ring is disposed in a plane intersecting perpendicularly with the drum axis of the rotary head drum, and a plane in which the head of the rotary head drum is rotated is parallel to a plane in which the loading ring is moved.

A direct color thermal recording method records full-color images on a thermosensitive color recording medium having at least three laminated thermosensitive recording layers which are developed in three colors. The optical recording is performed in at least the uppermost thermosensitive recording layer by being exposed to ultraviolet rays of a wavelength range specific to the individual recording layer to be recorded while controlling the intensity of rays according to desired color densities of pixels to be recorded in the corresponding layer. Thereafter, thermal recording is performed in a lower recording layer by applying heat energy to the color recording medium. The amount of heat energy is controlled so as to record pixels at the desired color densities in the lower recording layer, and also the heat energy is used to develop colors in at least an upper recording layer after having been subjected to optical recording.

Direct color thermal printing method for optically and thermally

A zoom lens system in which an angle of view is automatically varied according to camera-to-subject distances so as to be able to provide on a photographing screen a subject which is always constant in size. In the zoom lens system, a focus lens is stopped at a given position and, in this condition, a magnification varying lens and a compensator lens are driven to thereby achieve a focusing operation. In this operation, the angle of view is automatically varied according to the camera-to-subject distances, so that the size of the subject can be always constant with respect to the photographing screen regardless of the camera-to-subject distances. As a result of this, according to the invention, there is eliminated the need for provision of a data table memory for performing an automatic zooming operation, and exclusive and complicated control device and position detection device.
