A paper sheet bundling apparatus includes: a reel unit, in which a tape roll is set, configured to rotate the tape roll in a direction in which the tape is fed, and a direction in which the tape is wound; a tape transport unit, having a transport path provided between the reel unit and a tape bundling unit, configured to transport the tape, along the transport path, to supply the tape to the tape bundling unit when the tape bundling unit performs bundling, and to cause, when the tape bundling unit does not perform bundling, the tape to be in a stand-by state in which the tape is arranged continuously along the transport path; and specific operation execution means for executing, at a predetermined time, a specific operation of reducing tensile force in the tape arranged continuously along the transport path, when the tape bundling unit does not perform bundling.

Disclosed herein is a paper sheet processing deviceincluding: a hopper unitconfigured to take in paper sheets; a recognition unitconfigured to read serial numbers of the paper sheets taken in through the hopper unit; a databaseconfigured to store the serial numbers read by the recognition unit; and a control unitconfigured to process the paper sheets. The control unitsearches the serial numbers stored in the databasefor any duplicated serial number, and detects, when finding any duplicated serial number, that duplicate processes have been performed on a paper sheet identified by the duplicated serial number.

Paper sheet processing device

A coin depositing and dispensing machine that enables reduction of the space required to be provided above the coin passage in order to transport coins, thereby enabling the machine body to be made more compact, or increasing the coin accommodating capacity of the accommodating and ejecting units by the amount equivalent to the volume of the reduction of the space. An endless transporting belt is provided above an identifying passage and a sorting passage. The transporting belt is stretched across a plurality of pulleys rotatably supported in a horizontal position by vertically extending shafts. As the space required to be provided above the coin passage to install the transporting belt can be reduced, it is possible to make the machine body more compact, or increase the coin accommodating capacity of the accommodating and ejecting units by the amount equivalent to the volume of the reduction of the space.

A paper sheet handling machine according to the present invention includes: an imaging unit configured to take an image of a paper sheet and generate a paper sheet image; an identification unit configured to identify a character of each digit position included in a serial number, from a serial number region of the paper sheet image; an output unit configured to output the image of a part corresponding to the serial number region of the paper sheet image, when there is a digit position whose character therein cannot be identified by the identification unit; a display unit configured to display each character identified by the identification unit as well as the image outputted from the output unit; and an input unit configured to accept input of each character corresponding to the digit position whose character therein cannot be identified by the identification unit.

Paper sheet handling machine and paper sheet handling method

A coin depositing and dispensing machine automatically returning coins remaining on a passage in case an error-stop during depositing operation. The coins on the passage are transported by the transporting unit for depositing in a reverse transporting direction reverse to the depositing and transporting direction, one coin in a sorting passage is transported to the upstream side from a rejecting portion. Then, the coins on the passage are transported by the transporting unit for depositing in the depositing and transporting direction, and eliminated by the rejecting portion. While the coins on the passage are transported by the transporting unit for depositing alternately in the depositing and transporting direction and the reverse transporting direction, the coins in the sorting passage are eliminated by the rejecting portion one by one.
