A radio wave receiving converter is provided with a circular waveguide unit to which a vertically-polarized wave and a horizontally-polarized wave are input, first and second board holding units provided on the upside and the downside of the circular waveguide unit and holding first and second circuit boards, respectively, and first and second feed probes having tip portions provided to protrude into a waveguide element in parallel with the vertically-polarized wave and the horizontally-polarized wave, respectively, and having proximal end portions connected to the first and second circuit boards, respectively. Accordingly, the first and second board holding units are provided on the upside and the downside of the circular waveguide unit, and thus there is no need to use a sliding insert in the design of a die, so that the die can easily be fabricated at low cost.

A dielectric feedhorn as a feedhorn according to the present invention, with which a feedhorn, a radio wave receiving converter and an antenna capable of suppressing an increase in manufacturing costs can be obtained, includes a chassis body including a waveguide having an opening, and a dielectric member. The dielectric member is connected to the opening of the waveguide, and constituted by dielectrics as a plurality of members.

A feedhorn includes a chassis body, a waterproof cover serving as a cover member and a dielectric antenna. The chassis body includes a waveguide having an opening. The waterproof cover is connected to the chassis body to close the opening. The waterproof cover is made of a dielectric. The dielectric antenna is placed to face the opening with the waterproof cover therebetween. Thus, the feedhorn, a radio wave receiving converter and an antenna with which the manufacturing cost can be reduced are achieved.

A feedhorn, a radio wave receiving converter, and an antenna that can be reduced in size and have high reliability can be obtained. A feedhorn portion constitutes part of a converter, and includes a chassis body with a waveguide having an opening, a dielectric as a dielectric member connected to the opening, and a waterproof cover as a protective member. The waterproof cover covers the dielectric and contacts (tightly attached) to a portion of the surface of the dielectric (in the dielectric, the portion of the surface away from waveguide). The waterproof cover is formed of a material having substantially the same electric characteristics (permittivity and dielectric loss tangent) as the material forming the dielectric.

A radio wave reception converter receives a radio wave and converts the radio wave into an electric signal, and includes a horn introducing a radio wave, and a waveguide arranged at the rear of the horn for guiding a radio wave introduced by the horn. An insulation sheet is located between the waveguide and the horn to seal hermetically the interior of the waveguide and the horn. The connecting part between the waveguide and the horn is covered with an exterior cabinet. The front opening of the horn is covered with a feedome. The structure facilitates the connecting work between the waveguide and the horn, and can ensure airtightness at the connecting part.

A coaxial connector includes a central contact for elastically holding a central terminal of a connector plug, a first holding member receiving and holding the central contact therein, a second holding member linked to the first holding member, and a shell holding the linked first holding member and second holding member therein. The first holding member has a slide channel portion on its outer surface, and the second holding member has a protruding portion that can be inserted into the slide channel portion on its rear side. A disengagement-prevention structure is formed with a fit projective portion provided on the slide channel portion and a fit hole portion provided on the protruding portion.

The septum is extended through the opening to the radio wave receiving portion to separate respective polarized waves received by a pair of radio wave receiving portions, and a space between the septum and the radio wave receiving portion is set such that an end surface of the waveguide on the side of the substrate is surely in contact with a grounding surface provided on one surface of the substrate, and an end surface of the radio wave reflecting portion on the side of the substrate is surely in contact with the grounding surface provided on the other surface of the substrate.

Polarized wave separating structure, radio wave receiving converter and antenna apparatus

A plurality of composite elements are arranged in parallel with each other on a substrate. The composite elements each include a rectangular microstrip line element, an input microstrip line and an output microstrip line. The microstrip line element has one longer side, the other longer side, one end and the other end, and the input microstrip line is connected at the one end to the one longer side while the output microstrip line is connected at the other end to the other longer side. The composite elements are cascaded to constitute a low-pass filter.

A waveguide input apparatus of two orthogonally polarized waves includes a waveguide having two cavities passing through the outer wall thereof to the interior, a first probe provided protruding from an inner wall of the waveguide via a first cavity so that the leading end is parallel to a first plane of polarization, a second probe provided protruding from the inner wall of the waveguide via a second cavity so that the leading end is parallel to a second plane of polarization, and a circuit board provided at the outer wall of the waveguide so as to be parallel to the second plane of polarization, and having the first probe and the second probe connected thereto. A converter for satellite broadcasting receiver employing this apparatus is also provided.
