A technique of improving pressure resistance performance of an igniter assembly is provided. The igniter assembly includes an igniter body including an ignition portion filled with an igniting charge and an electro-conductive portion extending from the ignition portion, an igniter collar including a tubular peripheral wall portion that surrounds at least the electro-conductive portion of the igniter body, and a resin molded article that is interposed between the igniter body and the igniter collar and integrates the igniter body and the igniter collar. The igniter collar includes a first support portion that is provided in an inner peripheral portion of the peripheral wall portion and is formed in a convex shape toward an inner side of the peripheral wall portion in a radial direction and thus buried in the resin molded article and a second support portion that is provided at a position in the inner peripheral portion proximal to the first support portion from the ignition portion in a direction along a center axis of the peripheral wall portion and is formed in a convex shape toward the inner side of the peripheral wall portion in the radial direction and thus buried in the resin molded article or formed in a concave shape toward an outer side of the peripheral wall portion in the radial direction and thus filled with the resin molded article.

Igniter assembly and gas generator provided with same

An igniter holding structure includes, an igniter provided with an ignition portion and a conductive pin, a first resin portion provided between the igniter and an attachment portion and holds the igniter such that the ignition portion and a distal end of the conductive pin are located opposite each other, and a second resin portion provided in a circumferential wall portion of the attachment portion and forming a connector insertion portion on an inner side of the circumferential wall portion, the connector insertion portion being a space into which a connector connected to the conductive pin can be inserted and the second resin portion being provided separated from the first resin portion on the inner side of the circumferential wall portion in a manner that an exposed surface, which is made of metal and exposed to the connector insertion portion, is formed in the circumferential wall portion.

An outer diameter of the metallic portion is larger than an outer diameter of the resin part. The cup-shaped case has an annular portion bent inward at an opening thereof. The annular bent portion includes a bent corner, an annular tilted surface, and an annular terminal end. The annular tilted surface includes an outer tilted surface facing toward a side of a peripheral surface of the cup-shaped case and an inner annular tilted surface facing the opposite side. The inner annular tilted surface of the annular bent portion presses against the resin portion.
