A parking assist system includes a server device and a parking assist device provided in a host vehicle to communicate with the server device. The server device comprises a server storage portion that is configured to store parking lot information acquired when a second vehicle different from the host vehicle is parked in a parking section of a parking lot. The parking assist device includes a parking lot information receiver configured to receive the parking lot information from the server device, and a parking assist controller configured to control the host vehicle based on the obtained parking lot information to park the host vehicle in the parking section of the parking lot.

Parking assist system and parking assist device

An in-vehicle device includes: a storage unit storing map information divided into zones and used at least for screen display; a map drawing unit generating screen information using the map information; a difference detecting unit calculating, as a difference evaluation value, a magnitude of a difference in zone between the map information before update and the map information after update; and a map updating unit determining an order of updating the zones on a basis of a magnitude of the difference evaluation value to update, for each of the zones, the map information stored in the storage unit.

In-vehicle device and map updating system

An in-vehicle apparatus and a map data management system are provided that can appropriately update a map. The in-vehicle apparatusincludes a storage unitthat stores parcel data PD constituted by a plurality of files in accordance with meshes of the map, and a control unitthat, when a vehicleenters a single mesh of the map, updates the version of lower-level parcel files DPF corresponding to meshes at the periphery of the single mesh.
