An optical apparatus includes an image sensor that includes a focus detecting pixel and an image pickup pixel, a first focus detector configured to provide a focus detection based upon a phase difference between the pair of image signals detected by the focus detecting pixel of the image sensor, a second focus detector configured to provide a focus detection based upon a contrast value based upon an output of the image pickup pixel of the image sensor, and a controller configured to provide autofocus utilizing the first focus detector when a focus detection precision of the first focus detector is equal to or higher than a first value and an image magnification variation amount calculated from a wobbling amount of the image pickup optical system used for the second focus detector is equal to or higher than a second value.

A lens barrel includes an image-pickup optical system that includes a main optical system and an extender optical system, an extender barrel configured to hold the extender optical system, a housing configured to house the extender barrel, a rotator configured to hold the extender barrel to rotatably support the extender barrel in the housing, to insert the extender optical system into the main optical system, and to retreats the extender optical system from the main optical system, and a retreat restraint. When the retreat restraint is in the first state, the extender optical system is retreated to a position which is not associated with formation of the optical image, but the extender optical system is undetachable from the rotator, and when the retreat restraint is in the second state, the extender optical system is detachable from the rotator.

An optical apparatus is configured to execute a manual focus mode in which focusing is performed by an operation of a manual operating unit by moving an image pickup optical system configured to form an optical image of an object. An optical apparatus includes a first driver configured to drive a focus lens unit in autofocusing, a second driver configured to drive the focus lens unit in the autofocusing, a first detector configured to detect a driving amount of the first driver, a second detector configured to detect a driving amount of the second driver, a memory configured to store a relationship between information of detection results of the first and second detectors, and an object distance as a distance from the optical apparatus to an object, and a controller configured to obtain information of the object distance based upon the relationship stored in the memory and the detection results of the first and second detectors.

The optical apparatus includes an image pickup optical system including a focus lens, a controller controlling movement of the focus lens in an optical axis direction of the image pickup optical system, a shake detector detecting a shake amount of the optical apparatus in the optical axis direction, and a memory storing plural shake amounts sequentially detected by the shake detector. The controller calculates, in response to a start instruction of exposure for the image pickup and before start of the exposure, a predictive value of the shake amount for a time point of the exposure based on the plural shake amounts stored in the memory and including at least one shake amount detected after the start instruction of exposure. The controller moves the focus lens to a position corresponding to the predictive value before the start of the exposure.

A lens barrel includes lens units movable in an optical axis direction, a driving unit including an annular actuator in which an optical axis serves as a rotation center, a first cam cylinder disposed inwardly of the annular actuator and including a circular cylindrical base portion and a large-diameter portion, a second cam cylinder configured to drive at least one of the lens units by rotating at an outer-peripheral side of the large-diameter portion, and a rotation transmitting portion provided at the large-diameter portion and transmitting rotation of the first cam cylinder to the second cam cylinder, wherein, in a state in which the length of the lens barrel is shortest, a portion of the second cam cylinder and the rotation transmitting portion overlap in the optical axis direction a lens unit holding frame that is closest to an object side.

An interchangeable lens (second interchangeable lens) is disclosed which allows a protruding amount from a mount reference surface of the interchangeable lens to be increased. The second interchangeable lens has a protruding portion protruding from a mount reference surface toward an image plane, has a larger protruding amount than the first interchangeable lens and has the same flange back as the first interchangeable lens. The first camera prevents mounting of the second interchangeable lens by the protruding portion of the second interchangeable lens contacting the first wall portion. The second camera includes a second wall portion provided at a position retreated from the protruding portion. The second camera includes a rotatable mirror member, and the rotation center of the mirror member is positioned on the opposite side of a finder optical system with respect to a plane including an in-plane direction of the mirror member.

Lens apparatus and optical apparatus

An interchangeable lens is disclosed which prevents the camera body and interchangeable lens from being damaged even if an attempt is made to erroneously mount therebetween. The interchangeable lens is a second interchangeable lens whose flange back is the same as that of a first interchangeable lens and includes a protruding portion protruding from a mount reference surface. The protruding amount of the protruding portion is set when the second interchangeable lens has a specific phase relationship with a first camera, so that the protruding portion contacts a first wall portion of the first camera, and is set when the second interchangeable lens has a phase relationship with the first camera other than the specific phase relationship and a bayonet lug of the second interchangeable lens contacts a bayonet lug of the first camera, so that the protruding portion is away from the first wall portion.

The present invention provides an intermediate adapter capable of being mounted on a first camera on which a first interchangeable lens is mounted and a second camera on which the first interchangeable lens and a second interchangeable lens are mounted. The second interchangeable lens includes a protruding portion protruding toward an image plane from its mount reference surface whose protruding amount is larger than that of the first interchangeable lens and has a flange back equal to that of the first interchangeable lens. The first camera has a first wall portion inside its mount and prevents mounting of the second interchangeable lens by the protruding portion of the second interchangeable lens contacting the first wall portion. The second camera includes a second wall portion provided inside its mount at a position retreated from the protruding portion of the second interchangeable lens.

An image blur correction apparatus includes a correction optical system for correcting an image blur, an actuator for driving the correction optical system, a plurality of resilient members provided on an outer periphery of the correction optical system, the resilient members being provided substantially angularly equally divided into at least three locations about an optical axis of the correction optical system, and a guide member for movably guiding the correction optical system along a direction orthogonal to the optical axis of the correction optical system. The plurality of resilient members and the guide member are disposed within substantially the same plane orthogonal to the optical axis. In a case in which the actuator does not perform the drive of the correction optical system, the plurality of resilient members hold the correction optical system substantially at a center of the optical axis.
