A propeller fan according to the present disclosure includes a rotation shaft and a blade rotating around the rotation shaft. At the same position in an axial direction of the rotation shaft, a first locus connecting a leading edge of the blade and an outer peripheral end of the blade is tilted with respect to a second locus connecting a center of the rotation shaft and the leading edge so that the outer peripheral end side is inclined toward a trailing side. Alternatively, a third locus connecting a root of the blade and the outer peripheral end of the blade is tilted with respect to a fourth locus connecting a center of the rotation shaft and the root so that the outer peripheral end side is inclined toward the trailing side.

A turbo fan includes a main plate and a plurality of blade portions. The plurality of blade portions include a plurality of first blade portions and a plurality of second blade portions. In a case where, in each of the plurality of first blade portions, a length of a virtual straight line connecting a first inner peripheral end part and a first outer peripheral end part is defined as a first chord length, and in each of the plurality of second blade portions, a length of a virtual straight line connecting a second inner peripheral end part and a second outer peripheral end part is defined as a second chord length, the first chord length and the second chord length are not equal to each other at positions separated by a same distance from the main plate in the axial direction of the rotary shaft.

A centrifugal blower having high efficiency and reduced noise is provided. A centrifugal blower to be accommodated in a housing having an air inlet includes a spiral casing having a bell mouth and a centrifugal fan housed in the casing. The bell mouth includes a first region and a second region. The first region is disposed closest to the air inlet. A distance from a rotational axis of the centrifugal fan to a downstream end in the first region is greater than a distance from the rotational axis to the downstream end in the second region. A curvature of a surface of the first region in a cross section including the rotational axis is smaller than a curvature of a surface of the second region in a cross section including the rotational axis.

Centrifugal blower, air conditioner, and refrigeration cycle apparatus

An air conditioner has a casing and a wind direction changing device. The casing has an air inlet, an air outlet, an outer air path wall, and an inner air path wall. The wind direction changing device has an up-down rotation shaft and a deflector. The deflector extends from the up-down rotation shaft toward the outer air path wall. The deflector has an outer air path wall-side end which faces the outer air path wall and has a first arc shape.

A centrifugal blower includes a centrifugal fan having a main plate and a side plate facing each other in a direction of a rotation axis, and a casing to house the centrifugal fan. The casing has a peripheral wall extending along an outer circumferential edge of the centrifugal fan, and has a tongue portion at a position on the peripheral wall. A distance between the outer circumferential edge of the centrifugal fan and the tongue portion is smaller on the main plate side of the centrifugal fan than on the side plate side of the centrifugal fan.

A blower includes a volute shaped casing having an air inlet, and an impeller including a disk-shaped backing plate, a ring-shaped rim, and a plurality of blades supported between the backing plate and the rim. The impeller is housed in the casing. Each of the blades includes a first blade segment adjacent to the backing plate, and a second blade segment provided between the first blade segment and the rim. Each of the blades has a blade outlet angle at a trailing edge of the second blade segment different from a blade outlet angle at a trailing edge of the first blade segment. At least one of a pressure surface of the second blade segment and a suction surface of the second blade segment includes a flat surface extending toward a leading edge of the second blade segment from the trailing edge of the second blade segment.

An outdoor unit for a refrigeration cycle apparatus includes an outdoor heat exchanger arranged around an axis on an upstream side of an airflow with respect to a propeller fan. Further, the outdoor heat exchanger includes a first flat surface portion, a second flat surface portion, and a curved portion connecting the first and second flat surface portions to each other. An airflow directing plate is opposed to an end portion of the outdoor heat exchanger on the propeller fan side from the axis side of the propeller fan. The airflow directing plate is opposed to at least any one of the first flat surface portion and the second flat surface portion without being opposed to the curved portion.

An outdoor unit according to the present invention includes an air-sending-device chamber including a heat exchanger disposed at least on the rear side within an outdoor unit body, a propeller fan having a plurality of blades and disposed on the front side of the heat exchanger, and a bell mouth disposed on the front side of the propeller fan to face an air outlet, a machine chamber in which a compressor is disposed, and a partition plate that separates the air-sending-device chamber and the machine chamber. The partition plate has a protruding shape protruding from the air-sending-device chamber toward the machine chamber. The partition plate has, on the side of the air-sending-device chamber, a recessed area corresponding to the protruding shape. The amount of recess of the recessed area is maximized at a position equal in height to the center of rotation of the propeller fan.

An air conditioner includes: a heat exchanger housed inside a main body and arranged in a flow passage of air to be sucked into the main body through an air inlet and blown out to a target space through an air outlet; and an airflow-direction vane arranged at the air outlet. The airflow-direction vane includes a first curved portion and a second curved portion. The first curved portion is positioned on an upstream side with respect to the second curved portion, and a curvature of the first curved portion is larger than a curvature of the second curved portion.

An inner peripheral side of the blade with respect to an apex (P) of the leading edge protruding portion extends forward in the fan rotating direction with respect to the apex (P). A radius (Rq) at a position of an apex (Q) of the trailing edge protruding portion is larger than a radius (Rp) at a position of the apex (P). The radius (Rq) at the position of the apex (Q) is larger than an intermediate radius (Rm) between a radius (Ro) of an outer peripheral edge and a radius (Ri) of an inner peripheral edge.

An air blower includes a casing having an air inlet portion and an air outlet portion, a fan, and a fan guard. The fan includes a boss portion and a plurality of blades. The fan guard includes a guide portion having a tubular outer shape, which protrudes toward the fan. A center in a distal end shape, which is defined by a contour line of a distal end portion of the guide portion, matches with a rotation axis of the boss portion. A center in a root shape, which is defined by a contour line of a root portion of the guide portion, is shifted with respect to the rotation axis of the boss portion.

The propeller fan includes a boss including a rotation axis, a plurality of blades formed on an outer periphery of the boss, and a bellmouth arranged so as to surround the plurality of blades at a trailing edge side of each of the blades. Each blade has a bending portion that bulges toward an upstream side of the air current in a cross-sectional shape in a radial direction, and a bend of the bending portion of the blade at an inner side of the bellmouth is set to be gentler than a bend of the bending portion of the blade at an outer side of the bellmouth.
