A fixing device includes a fixing member, a resistance heating element, and a power supply control portion. The fixing member fixes a toner image transferred onto a sheet. The resistance heating element is used for heating the fixing member, and an electrical resistance thereof increases as a temperature increases. The power supply control portion gradually increases, when a heating timing of the fixing member arrives, input power to be input to the resistance heating element toward a predetermined upper limit value.

A fixing device includes a fixing belt, a pressing roller and a heating part. The heating part includes a heater, a plurality of temperature sensors, a heater holding member and a sensor holding member. The sensor holding member holds the temperature sensors between the heater holding member and the sensor holding member. The heater holding member has observation holes through which the heater is exposed. The heater holding member has a guide part which positions the sensor holding member with respect to the heater holding member. The sensor holding member has an engagement part engaged with the guide part. The sensor holding member holds each of the temperature sensors at a position corresponding to each of the observation holes by engagement of the engagement part with the guide part.

An image forming apparatus includes a plurality of heaters, a switch portion, and first and second supply lines. The heaters heat a toner image. The switch portion is connected to an alternating-current power source, and opens and closes in a manner interlocked with the opening and closing of a cover. The first supply line connects the respective one ends of the heaters to the switch portion. The second supply line connects the respective other ends of the heaters to the switch portion. The second supply line has a branch portion. The respective other ends of the heaters are each connected to one of branch lines which are electric wires that branch off from the branch portion. The switch portion is disposed between the branch portion and the alternating-current power source.

The fixing device includes a cylindrical heated member and a heating part. The cylindrical heated member is long in a width direction of a sheet, and is supported in a rotatable manner with coming into contact with a fixing face of the sheet. The heater holding part holds the flat heater so that the flat heater comes into contact with an inner circumference face of the fixing belt. In the flat heater, an electrode part, a feeder and a heat generating part are formed in the same face state. The pressuring member sandwiches the fixing belt with the flat heater. The connector has a contacting portion coming into contact with the electrode part. A sheet feed cassette monitor includes an actuator with another end portion, a detecting circuit, a plurality of protrusions, a signal monitoring circuit, and a signal determining circuit. When the one end portion is in contact with a paper sheet, the other end portion swings in a first direction. When the one end portion is not in contact with the paper sheet, the other end portion swings in a second direction opposite direction to the first direction. The detecting circuit detects the swinging of the other end portion on the actuator. The plurality of protrusions are convexly installed in an asymmetric manner with respect to a putting-in/taking-out direction of the feed cassette. The signal determining circuit determines a presence/absence state of the paper sheet housed in the sheet feed cassette and an open/close state of the sheet feed cassette based on a pattern of change in the monitored signal.

The present invention provides a bicycle equipped with an antitheft device of the type which suspends the function of the bicycle as by locking the saddle in unridable form and which requires a fewer number of operating steps for parking the bicycle. The bicycle is characterized in that it is provided with a key device for locking the saddle in the parked state, a stand locking device for locking the stand in the erected state, and a connecting rod which is adapted to be pulled up in operative connection with the turning movement of the saddle from the in-service state to the parked state and whose lower end is connected to the stand locking device. When the saddle is turned to the parked state, the connecting rod is pulled and the stand is locked by the stand locking device. When the saddle is turned to the in-service state, the connecting rod is depressed to cancel the locked state.
