A control device to be applied to a vehicle equipped with an imaging device and a safety device is configured to, based on moving-object detection information detected from images captured by the imaging device, actuate the safety device for a moving object. In the control device, a control unit is configured to, in response to any of certain information that it is certain that the object is a moving object and uncertain information indicating that it is not certain whether the object is a moving object being acquired as moving-object detection information, actuate the safety device based on a position of the object subjected to detection with the certain information or the uncertain information. An actuation region setting unit is configured to, when the moving-object detection information is the uncertain information, narrow an actuation region as compared to when the moving-object detection information is the certain information.

In a vehicle collision determination apparatus, a position calculation unit calculates a trajectory of a target that is a movement trajectory of the target, and calculates an entrainment trajectory of the vehicle that is a movement trajectory of the vehicle during a turn, and calculate a position of collision where a collision is likely to occur between the vehicle and the target based on the trajectory of the target and the entrainment trajectory of the vehicle. A time calculation unit calculates a time to collision (TTC) that is a time it takes for the target to reach the position of collision. In response to the time to collision being equal to or less than a predefined determination threshold, a risk determination unit determines that there is a risk of collision between the vehicle and the target.

Vehicle collision determination apparatus

Magnets are arranged at intervals along a stroke direction with an interposed space. Magnetic pole surfaces of adjacent ones of the magnets have opposite poles. A detector is arranged with a gap in a gap direction against a magnetic pole surface of each of the magnets and acquires a sine signal and a cosine signal as detection signals of phases corresponding to the positions of the magnets, based on a change in a magnetic field received from the magnets according to movement of the detector relative to the detection object in the stroke direction. The first magnetic element outputs a first signal having a period corresponding to the regular intervals. The second magnetic element outputs a second signal having an opposite phase to the first signal and the period. Rotation detection device having detector and signal processor

A position sensor includes a detector and a signal processor. The detector includes: a sensor chip having a surface; a first detection element disposed at the surface of the sensor chip; and a second detection element disposed at the surface of the sensor chip. The signal processor processes a signal input from the detector. The element part is arranged on a surface of a substrate, and has linear portions arranged in parallel with each other and connecting portions connecting the linear portions in a meandering shape. The metal film has a first layered portion stacked on a turn portion of the element part defined by the connecting portion and a connection between the connecting portion and the linear portion, and a second layered portion formed integrally with the first layered portion to entirely cover a region of the surface surrounded by an internal end of the turn portion. The first layered portion has a peripheral side disposed between the internal end and an external end of the turn portion so as to expose an outer periphery of the turn portion.

A position sensor includes a detector and a signal processor. The detector includes a magnet generating a bias magnetic field and a detection element configured to be applied by the bias magnetic field, and generates plural detection signals including distinct phase difference and corresponding to plural ranges aligned in one direction along a movement direction of a detection target, based on a change in a magnetic field received by the detection element from the detection target with a movement of the detection target having a magnetic body.
