Substrate structure

A selective calling signal and a received message signal are received via a radio receiver unit and a decoder unit . The received message from the radio receiver unit is stored in a message storing unit . The received message stored is displayed on a screen of a display unit based on the display operation of an operating unit under control of a controller unit . At this time, an adder unit adds and counts the piece number of the received messages, which are newly received during a period from the display operation to the succeeding display operation, for every attribute category displayed during the screen display of the received message on the display unit . Then, information of the adder unit (the piece number of the new unread received messages per attribute category) is displayed on the screen of the display unit under control of the controller unit

Radio selective-paging system and display method therefor

A pager includes a receiving circuit for receiving a transmitted paging signal including a calling signal and a message which includes character codes; a display having a predetermined character display area; a first storing circuit for storing the message when the calling signal indicates this pager; a setting circuit responsive to a manual operation for setting position data indicative of a position of one of the character codes in the message; a second storing circuit for storing the position data in response to the setting circuit; and a displaying circuit for reading a portion of the message including the portion of character codes from the storing circuit in accordance with the position data from the second storing circuit and displaying the portion of character codes on the display. In addition to storing the position data, a target subject data may be stored to search the position of a message to be displayed.

Pager with display position controlled

A selective call receiver includes a memory for storing data pieces. A data piece among the data pieces in the memory is designated as an object to be exposed to pseudo erasion. A predetermined signal is added to the designated data piece. The designated data piece with the predetermined signal is inhibited from being read out from the memory. A data piece without the predetermined signal is allowed to be read out from the memory. The predetermined signal is deleted from the designated data piece in response to a requirement for cancel of pseudo erasion. The designated data piece with the predetermined signal in the memory is erased in response to a requirement for actual erasion.

Paging receiver with selective erasure of stored received messages

A display section 5 displays the confirmation to an instruction entered through an operating section 4 and the content of the processing performed in a signal processing section 3. Hence, users can check the interim progress of the processing by monitoring a display screen on the display section 5. Therefore, the users can quickly confirm whether or not the processing has been accurately performed.
