An information input unit includes a detection portion and a first protective member, and acquires information input with a writing instrument by detecting a position of the writing instrument. The detection portion can be folded along a first axis. The first protective member includes an insertion portion. An opening is formed in an opposing face of the insertion portion that faces toward the first axis. At least a portion of the detection portion is inserted into the first protective member such that a first length becomes shorter than a second length. The first length is a length between the opening and an edge of the detection portion that is on the opposite side from the opposing face. The edge of the detection portion is contained in the first protective member. The second length is the length between the edge of the detection portion and the first axis.

Information input unit

An information input device includes a first detection device, a second detection device, a coupling member, a connecting line, and a protective member. The coupling member includes a fixing portion and a holding portion, and a folding portion. The connecting line includes an intermediate portion connecting the first detection device and the second detection device that detect a position of the writing tool. At least a part of the intermediate portion extends between the first detection device and the second detection device and is arranged to face the folding portion. The protective member includes an arrangement portion whose length is longer than a length of the intermediate portion. An end portion of the protective member is fixed to at least one of the fixing portion and the holding portion. The arrangement portion is disposed between the folding portion and the intermediate portion of the connecting line.

Information input device

The information input device includes first detecting portion, second detecting portion, first positioning portion, second positioning portion, first information acquiring portion, and second information acquiring portion. The first information acquiring portion is configured to acquire information that is written on a paper sheet overlapping with a cover sheet positioned by the first positioning portion, based on the position of the writing tool detected by the first detecting portion. The second information acquiring portion is configured to acquire information that is written on a paper sheet overlapping with a cover sheet positioned by the second positioning portion, based on the position of the writing tool detected by the second detecting portion.

Label producing apparatus

An image reader includes a moving portion, a transparent plate, a reference member, and a detecting portion. The reference member that is provided in at least one of a position that is not the manuscript contact surface in the first scanning direction and a position that is further to a side in a first direction from the transparent plate than the manuscript contact surface. The detecting portion is supported by the moving portion and includes a plurality of detecting elements, in the second scanning direction, detecting reflected light of light irradiated from a light source. A height position of the detecting portion when the reference member is on the side in the first direction is further to the side in the first direction than a height position of the detecting portion when the manuscript contact surface is on the side in the first direction.

This disclosure discloses an electronic writing apparatus. The electronic writing apparatus comprises a position acquisition portion that acquires a plurality of pieces of positional information of a writing instrument moving, a first visual object detecting portion that detects a visual object for identification entered at a desired position of the media, a first data creating portion that creates image data corresponding to writing on the media and having a predetermined positional relationship with the visual object for identification, a first storage device that temporarily stores image data created by the first data creating portion, a first communication device that transmits the image data for storing the image data in the external storage device, and a first transmission control portion that controls the first communication device and performs transmission for storing the image data stored in the first storage device in the storage destination.

Printing apparatus with cutter having a blade including a step portion

When a cut lever is rotated, a tape printer cuts a tape by using a cutting mechanism unit. The cutting mechanism unit has a cut lever rotatably supported by a lever shaft, a cutter holder provided with a cutter blade and a cutter blade receiving member. Upon rotation of the cut lever, the cut lever moves the cutter holder in a cutting direction, the cutter blade presses and cuts the tape in cooperation with the cutter blade receiving member. At a point the cutter blade comes into contact with the cutter blade receiving member, a line segment connecting a lever shaft center and a contact protrusion tangent point T becomes perpendicular to the cutting direction.

Tape printing apparatus

It is intended to provide a printer which can prevent dust from entering and adhering to a printing medium, thereby avoiding entry of the dust to or near a print head, and can improve print quality. A first cover covers a first paper projection port through which paper as the printing medium is projected when the paper is inside a housing. This can prevent the entry of the dust through the first paper projection port to the housing. Furthermore, the first cover swings about a first engagement portion by pressure of a front end of the paper to cover the paper when the paper is projected through the first paper projection port in the forward feeding motion by the feeding device such as a paper feeding roller.

There is provided a tape printing apparatus capable of improving durability performance of a cutting mechanism constituted of a fixed blade and a movable blade tremendously. The bottom edge portion of an opening portion in a rear frame is formed to be located below the bottommost end portion of the V-shaped tip of this movable blade by a predetermined height (for example, about 3 mm to 5 mm) when the movable blade is located at the lowest point, that is, a home position. That is, even when the movable blade is located at the lowest point, there is formed a gap of a predetermined distance (for example, a distance of about 3 mm to 5 mm) in the vertical direction between the bottommost end portion of the V-shaped tip of the movable blade and the bottom end edge portion of the opening portion.
