A vehicle includes a controller. The controller is configured to perform authentication of a portable device by communication with the portable device when startup of a system of the vehicle is instructed, when the system is off, or when the startup of the system of the vehicle is instructed and the system is off. The controller is configured to perform the startup of the system of the vehicle when the startup of the system of the vehicle is instructed, under a condition that the authentication of the portable device is successful. The controller is configured to perform reauthentication of the portable device when predetermined movement of the vehicle is detected after the startup of the system of the vehicle, and perform theft prevention processing when the reauthentication of the portable device fails.

Vehicle

An actuator unit that drives a switching mechanism for a shift range of an automatic transmission is provided. The actuator unit includes a motor that generates a drive force for driving the switching mechanism, a control substrate that controls the motor, a connector that connects a wire to the control substrate, a housing that includes an opening, a cover that covers the opening, and a shock absorption material that includes a first shock absorption material and a second shock absorption material. The motor and the control substrate are positioned in a housing space defined by the housing and the cover. The control substrate is fixed to the housing. The first shock absorption material and the second shock absorption material are positioned between the control substrate and the cover, and contacts both the control substrate and the cover.

Actuator unit

An actuator includes a manually operable portion that is operable to transmit rotation to an output shaft. The manually operable portion is provided such that the manually operable portion extends through a housing while at least a portion of the manually operable portion is exposed to an outside of the housing. In this way, even in a case where the actuator becomes inoperable, it is possible to change a shift range by rotating the output shaft through operation of the manually operable portion. It is only required to have a connection hole, which is conventionally provided at an outer wall of a transmission case, as a hole, which connects this rotary actuator to a shift range change mechanism. Therefore, it is sufficient to perform only a relatively small improvement, such as providing screw holes for fixing the actuator in a preexisting transmission.

Rotary actuator

A shift controller for a vehicle includes a shift switching unit, a rotation restricting element, and an electronic control unit. The electronic control unit is configured to: acquire a count value corresponding to a degree of rotation of an actuator; set a rotational position of the actuator when the count value does not change by restricting rotation of the actuator using the rotation restricting element as a reference position of the actuator corresponding to the predetermined shift position; and interrupt setting the reference position of the actuator and restart setting the reference position of the actuator when the rotation of the actuator is restricted and a supply voltage to the actuator is equal to or lower than a predetermined first voltage determination value or a variation in the count value while the rotation of the actuator is restricted is equal to or greater than a predetermined value.

Shift controller for vehicle

In a case where an operation to a non-parking operation position is performed at the time when an engine stops at a parking position, an electronic control unit executes two controls, i.e., a change to a non-parking position and starting of the engine, simultaneously. At this time, in a case where the operation to the non-parking operation position is performed at the time when the engine is stopped at the parking position by stop-start system, a deceleration start timing of an electric actuator is made earlier in comparison with a case where the operation is performed at a time different from the above. Accordingly, even in a state where a voltage of the electric actuator is decreased, a motor rotation position can be easily stopped at a non-p target rotation position.

Control device for vehicle and control method for vehicle

A vehicle shift control device includes: a parking lock device selectively switched by driving of an electric motor between a lock position restraining rotation of wheels and a non-lock position not restraining the rotation of the wheels; and an electronic control device controlling the electric motor, the vehicle shift control device providing a parking lock switching control of selectively switching the parking lock device between the lock position and the non-locking position in an activated state of the electronic control device, wherein if the electronic control device is switched from the deactivated state to the activated state, the vehicle shift control device provides a wall abutment control of driving the parking lock device with the electric motor to a mechanical displacement end before starting the provision of the parking lock switching control, and if a temperature of the electric motor is lower than a predefined low-temperature determination value, the vehicle shift control device provides an electric motor heat generation control of energizing the electric motor without rotating the electric motor after the electronic control device is switched from a deactivated state to an activated state and before starting the provision of the wall abutment control.

Vehicle shift control device

A shift device is provided with a shift lever, a parking switch, and a neutral switch. A transmission is switched to a range, in which the transmission of driving force to driving wheels of a vehicle is started, by the shift lever being operated in two or more directions from a home position and arriving at a specific position. The transmission is switched to a range, in which the transmission of driving force to the driving wheels of the vehicle is interrupted, by the parking switch and the neutral switch being operated in one direction.

Shift switching device

A vehicle control device having a shift-by-wire system that switches a driving range of a vehicle transmission by inputting a range switching signal to a shift switching device, includes: an abnormality detecting means that detects an abnormality that the shift switching device cannot switch the driving range, of the shift-by-wire system; and a driving force suppressing means that suppresses a driving force of a vehicle when an abnormality is detected in the shift-by-wire system and when a vehicle stop is predicted, and the driving force suppressing means switching a gear stage of the vehicle transmission to a higher-speed gear stage.

A vehicle control apparatus including a brake mechanism that produces braking force through actuation of a first actuator, a shift mechanism that changes the shift position of a transmission through actuation of a second actuator, a controller that controls the electric power supplied to the first actuator and the electric power supplied to the second actuator; a first electric power supply unit that supplies electric power to the controller; a second electric power supply unit that supplies electric power to the first actuator; and a third electric power supply unit that supplies electric power to the second actuator. An actuator control unit controls the electric power supplied to the second actuator from the second electric power supply unit or from the third electric power supply unit when the second actuator is not able to operate using electric power supplied from the first electric power supply unit.

Vehicle control apparatus, vehicle control method, computer program for implementing same method, and data storage medium storing same computer program

A shift-by-wire (SBW) device includes a capacitor, which stores electric power. When an abnormality occurs in a battery or an electric power supply system, an actuator of the SBW device receives electric power from the capacitor and changes a shift range of an automatic transmission to a P range at least once. Furthermore, when a lever of a P range releasing arrangement is operated, the P range of the automatic transmission is released.

Shift-by-wire system

In a shift control device operative to determine shift positions based on an absolute positional information related to a mechanical displacement of a shift mechanism, it is intended that the shift positions are accurately determined regardless of disturbance and deterioration with time. It is determined as to whether a varying width of a position voltage PV representing absolute positional information relative to a varying width of a pulse count number CP representing relative positional information is larger than an varying allowable range. When a state, under which difference between the both variations is larger than the varying allowable range, continues beyond a determining time T, a determination is made that persistent disturbance is existed in the position voltage PV, and a correlation between the position voltage PV and the shift positions 'P', 'R', &#x201c;N&#x201d; and &#x201c;D&#x201d; is learnt and corrected. This allows the correlation to be corrected even if a variation occurs in the position voltage PV due to for instance variations in a disturbance magnetic field or an environmental temperature, a change with time of an output characteristic of a hall element, so that the shift position can be determined based on the position voltage PV with increased precision at all times.

A control device is provided for a vehicle drive apparatus, which includes a differential mechanism and an electric motor provided in differential mechanism, which can be miniaturized in structure with improved fuel economy or enabling the suppression of occurrence in switching shocks. During a shifting of an automatic shifting portion, engaging control variable control meansalters a method of learning an engaging pressure. This allows a rotation speed Nof a transmitting member to achieve a given variation during the shifting, depending on a continuously variable shifting state and a non-continuously variable shifting state, for thereby providing a balance between an improvement in a feeling and a suppressing of shifting shocks.

Control device for vehicle drive apparatus

A vehicle control apparatus for a vehicle that includes a brake mechanism that produces braking force through the actuation of a first actuator and a shift mechanism that changes the shift position of a transmission through the actuation of a second actuator.
