In response to a detection of a presence of a device to be charged, a power supply control section sets, to a specific pattern, a pattern of electric power to be transmitted from a power transmission unit. The device to be charged acquires the specific pattern from the received electric power. The power supply control section identifies a combination between the power transmission unit and the device to be charged based on correspondence between information about the specific pattern that has been set, and the received information about the specific pattern.

Non-contact charging system and pairing method for non-contact charging system

A charging system includes a vehicle () that receives electric power with which a storage battery () is charged, from an inlet (), and a power feeding apparatus () that supplies the electric power to a power-feed-side connector () connected to the inlet (). The power feeding apparatus () and the vehicle () share a temporary signal pattern given to a control signal, through communication via communication units (), separately from communication established by connection between the inlet () and the power-feed-side connector (). The vehicle () specifies the power feeding apparatus () as a destination of wireless communication, as the apparatus connected to the inlet (), based on matching of a temporary signal pattern detected from the control signal, with the shared temporary signal pattern.

Charging system and pairing method

An output circuit sends a control pilot signal generated in a voltage generator to an input circuit. A communication unit is connected between an earthed wire and a control pilot wire on the output side of the output circuit via a bandpass filter. A communication unit is connected between the earthed wire and the control pilot wire on the input side of the input circuit via a bandpass filter. A low-pass filter is interposed between the output circuit and the communication unit. A low-pass filter is interposed between the input circuit and the communication unit.

Communication system and communication device

An output circuit sends out, to an input circuit, a control pilot signal generated by a voltage source. A voltage transformer is provided to a control pilot line on the output side of the output circuit, and a communication unit transmits and receives communication signals via the voltage transformer. A voltage transformer is provided to the control pilot line on the input side of the input circuit, and a communication unit transmits and receives the communication signals via the voltage transformer. A low-pass filter is provided to the control pilot line between the input circuit and the voltage transformer.

A charging station performs communications by use of a superimposing/separating unit configured by connecting a capacitor, a coupling transformer and a capacitor to branch lines branching out respectively from a control cable and a grounded cable. An electric vehicle performs communications by use of a superimposing/separating unit configured by providing a coupling transformer to the control cable. A capacitor is also connected between the control cable and the grounded cable. Communications are allowed by the configuration of a closed loop circuit comprising the control cable, the branch line, the capacitor, a primary coil of the coupling transformer, the capacitor, the branch line, the grounded cable, the capacitor, and a primary coil of the coupling transformer.

Communication system

Provided are a communication system and a communication device capable of suppressing attenuation of a communication signal superimposed upon a control pilot line. This output circuit () sends a control pilot signal which has been generated at a voltage generation source () to an input circuit (). Between the control pilot line () and the ground line () of the output side of the output circuit (), a communication unit () is connected via a transformer (). Between the control pilot line () and the ground line () of the input side of the input circuit (), a communication unit () is connected via a transformer (). Between the output circuit () and the transformer (), a lowpass filter () is interposed. Between the input circuit () and the transformer (), a lowpass filter () is interposed.

A vehicle-mounted controller mounted on a vehicle includes communication state determination unit and a battery charging control unit. The communication state determination unit is configured to determine whether or not vehicle-mounted information equipment performs communication with external charging equipment or an external information device via a charging cable. The battery charging control unit is configured to control, in a case where the communication state determination unit determines that the vehicle-mounted information equipment performs the communication with the external charging equipment or the external information device via the charging cable, a voltage converter so as to charge a low-voltage battery by supplying electric power from a high-voltage battery to the low-voltage battery when a first specific time has elapsed since start of the communication. The high-voltage battery, the vehicle-mounted information equipment, the low-voltage battery, and the voltage converter are provided with the vehicle.

A sensor abnormality detection apparatus which is installed in a vehicle with an electric water pump for circulating engine cooling water and is configured to perform an abnormality detecting process related to a first temperature sensor or a second temperature sensor based on a relationship between a detection result of the first temperature sensor for detecting a temperature of the engine cooling water and a detection result of the second temperature sensor for detecting a temperature of another medium which is correlated with the temperature of the engine cooling water or an estimation result of the temperature of the engine cooling water, comprising: a water pump forced-operating part configured to force the electric water pump to operate if the detection result of the first temperature sensor and the detection result of the second temperature sensor or the estimation result of the temperature of the engine cooling water do not meet a predetermined relationship, under a condition where the electric water pump is not operated after an engine starts.

An abnormality diagnostic device diagnoses the presence/absence of abnormality of an intake air temperature sensor () on the basis of the magnitude of deviation between the lowest temperature of the intake air detected via the intake air temperature sensor () in a period from the startup of an internal combustion engine until the trend of change in the temperature of the air taken into the internal combustion engine becomes stable and a temperature detected via a water temperature sensor (). If the decline in the temperature of the intake air detected via the intake air temperature sensor () within the aforementioned period is greater than or equal to a predetermined criterion value (IAT), the abnormality diagnosis is suspended.
