Receiver circuitry of the wireless terminal is configured to receive, from a first cell of the RAN, a message comprising network slice band association information including the area scope indication. The processor circuitry is configured to select from the network slice band association information at least one network slice identifier of a serving PLMN; to store the network slice band association information; and, upon the wireless terminal camping on a second cell of the RAN, to initiate a reacquisition procedure to reacquire, from the second cell, the network slice band association information based on an area scope indication corresponding to a selected at least one network slice identifier, comprised in the stored network slice band association information.

The IAB node comprises receiver circuitry and processor circuitry. The receiver circuitry is configured to receive information on a resource allocation of OFDM symbols within one or more slots. The processor circuitry is configured to determine from the information both a slot format indicator and a time resource indication. The slot format indicator is configured to indicate, for each OFDM symbol of the slot, whether the symbol is an uplink symbol, a downlink symbol, or a flexible symbol. The time resource indicator, TRI, is configured to indicate, for each OFDM symbol of the slot, whether the symbol may be allocated by a parent node or by the IAB node. The processor circuitry is further configured to control utilization of one or more symbols of the slot at least in part in accordance with a respective symbol allocation from the time resource indication and the slot format indicator.

A wireless terminal that communicates over a radio interface with a radio access node of a radio access network (RAN). The wireless terminal comprises receiver circuitry, transmitter circuitry, and processor circuitry. The receiver circuitry is configured to receive, in a radio resource control (RRC) connected state, one or more configuration messages via dedicated signaling(s). The one or more configuration messages may comprise a timer configuration for a timer and a configuration for Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) monitoring. The transmitter circuitry is configured to transmit, in the RRC connected state, a system information (SI) request message to request at least one system information block (SIB). The processor circuitry is configured to start the timer based on the timer configuration and to perform an SI acquisition process. In an example embodiment and mode, the SI acquisition process comprises reception of Downlink Control Information (DCI) on PDCCH based on the configuration for PDCCH monitoring, and reception of Physical Downlink Shared Channel (PDSCH) scheduled by using the DCI. The SI acquisition process continues until the at least one SIB is successfully received or until the timer expires. Methods for operating such wireless terminal and the access node are also provided.

The processor circuitry is to generate a synchronization signal (SS)/primary broadcast channel (PBCH) Block Measurement time Configuration (SMTC) and to use an STC muting indication to moot STC(s) in the SMTC which is/are not to be transmitted. The SMTC comprises plural synchronization signal (SS)/primary broadcast channel (PBCH) Block Transmission Configurations (STCs), each STC comprising plural synchronization signal (SS)/primary broadcast channel (PBCH) blocks (SS/PBCHs). The interface circuitry is configured to transmit the SMTC as muted in accordance with the STC muting indication.

Conditional handovers for wireless relay networks

A wireless terminal comprises receiver circuitry and processor circuitry. The receiver circuitry is configured to receive, from a base station apparatus, a first type system information (SI) block including scheduling information used for configuring SI window(s), the SI window(s) being periodic broadcast occasion(s) for corresponding one or more second type system information blocks (SIBs). The processor circuitry is configured to determine the SI window(s) based on the scheduling information. The receiver circuitry is further configured to perform a reception procedure to attempt to receive at least one of the second type SIBs within the SI window(s) of a current modification period. In a case that the at least one of the second type SIBs is not received within the SI window(s), the receiver circuitry is configured to continue the reception procedure in the current modification period.
