The fuel cell unit comprises a fuel cell stack, a power converter configured to convert the power of the fuel cell stack, and a case configured to accommodate the fuel cell stack and the power converter in the same space. The power converter is configured to be disposed below the fuel cell stack.

Fuel cell unit

A bus bar cooling structure includes: a plurality of bus bars; and an insulating cooling portion provided so as to be in contact with a part of each of the plurality of bus bars, current paths of the plurality of bus bars having different length from start points to end points of the current paths, a contact area between each bus bar and the cooling portion being set to an area proportional to a length of the bus bar.

Bus bar cooling structure

A current sensor is provided on a bus bar via which a reactor is connected to a power module. The reactor is separated from the current sensor by a partition made of metal having a magnetic shielding effect. An output terminal of the reactor is provided on either one of a surface of the reactor on a first side and a surface of the reactor on a second side, the first side being farther from a mounting surface of a power converter across a plane passing through the center of the reactor, the second side being closer to the mounting surface from the plane.

Power converter

A fuel cell unit includes: a fuel cell stack including: a cell stack; a first terminal respectively disposed at a first end of the cell stack in the first direction; and a second terminal disposed at a second end of the cell stack in the first direction, an end plate disposed at a side opposite to the cell stack with respect to the first terminal; a power converter that converts output power of the fuel cell stack; a stack case that houses the fuel cell stack; a power converter case that houses the power converter and is fixed to the stack case; a first bus bar that electrically connects the first terminal and the power converter in the stack case and the power converter case; and a second bus bar that electrically connects the second terminal and the power converter in the stack case and the power converter case.

A powertrain system includes an electric motor for driving a vehicle; a battery; an internal combustion engine; an electric generator; a motor inverter connected in parallel to the battery, and converting DC electric power of the battery into AC electric power and supplying it to the electric motor; a generator inverter connected in parallel to the battery, and converting AC electric power generated by the electric generator into DC electric power and supplying it to the battery; and a control device. The control device is configured, where a charging rate of the battery is not greater than a first threshold value, and a ripple current that is generated in association with an operation of the motor inverter and flows into the battery is not less than a second threshold value, not to start up the internal combustion engine for electric power generation using the electric generator.

Powertrain system

An EGR channel and an EGR valve are provided for introducing EGR gas into an intake channel upstream of a compressor that supercharges intake air. There is provided an intake bypass channel that connects the intake channel downstream of the compressor and the EGR channel immediately downstream the EGR valve along the direction of the flow of the EGR gas to each other, and a bypass valve capable of selecting a configuration of an intake air flow channel from among a first channel in which the intake air having passed through the compressor passes through the intake channel and flows into a cylinder and a second channel in which in the state where the EGR valve is closed, part of the intake air having passed through the compressor passes through the intake bypass channel and the EGR channel and is recirculated to a part upstream of the compressor.

Internal combustion engine

A technique is provided which is capable of completing SOx poisoning recovery control on a NOx storage reduction catalyst in a shorter period of time. In the course of the SOx poisoning recovery control, the degree of decrease of a SOx release speed resulting from a decrease in an amount of SOx occlusion of the NOx catalyst (the degree of decrease of the SOx release speed (Ddw)) with respect to that at the time of start of the SOx poisoning recovery control is estimated. In accordance with the increasing degree of decrease of the SOx release speed (Ddw), a catalyst bed temperature (Tc) is caused to rise up to a higher side target temperature (Tct), and at the same time an exhaust gas air fuel ratio (A/F) is caused to lower up to a richer side target air fuel ratio (A/Ft), whereby the SOx release speed Vsox during the SOx poisoning recovery control is suppressed from lowering.

Exhaust gas purification system of an internal combustion engine

An object of the invention is to recover the capability of an exhaust gas purification apparatus provided in an exhaust passage of an internal combustion engine with improved reliability. According to the invention there are provided recovery control execution unit for executing a recovery control in which the temperature of the exhaust gas purification apparatus is raised by supply of reducing agent to a precatalyst to thereby recover the capability of the exhaust gas purification apparatus and prohibition range setting unit for setting a recovery control prohibition range that is an operation range of the internal combustion engine in which execution of the recovery control by the recovery control execution unit is prohibited. The higher the degree of deterioration of the precatalyst is, the higher the maximum values of the engine torque and the engine revolution number in the recovery control prohibition range are set to be.

Exhaust gas purification system for internal combustion engine

To provide a particulate matter purifying device which is capable of providing excessive deposition of particulate matter. In the particulate matter purifying device, a catalyst elementis carried on a porous filter substratethrough which an exhaust gas passes. The particulate matter purifying device traps particulate matter contained in the exhaust gas, and oxidizing the trapped particulate matter to remove. This particulate matter purifying device is characterized in that active oxygen producing fine particlesare carried on a surface of the filter substratebetween the catalyst elements. Therefore, the particulate matter is partially damaged by the active oxygen produced by the active oxygen producing fine particles. Consequently, oxidization of the particulate matter is promoted so that deposition of the particulate matter is prevented or minimized.
