This invention provides an instrument device including: a dial having scale marks; a pointer pointing the scale marks and provided in front of the dial; a light source provided behind the dial and supplying light to the pointer to cause the pointer to emit light; and a cover provided in front of the pointer, the scale marks and the pointer being visually confirmed through the cover, wherein a reflection member is provided at a part of the cover corresponding to a rotation center of the pointer; a reflection part is provided on the dial; and the reflection part is illuminated with light emitted from the pointer and light reflected and scattered by the reflection member after being emitted from the pointer.

Instrument device

Provided is a vehicular meter, which can suppress the complication of structures of peripheral parts, when an operation shaft and an elastic member are to be supported, thereby to realize the cost reduction. The vehicular meter comprises: an indication element D; a circuit boardarranged on the back of the indication element D; and a manipulation mechanism S for switching pieces of information to be indicated by the indication element D. The manipulation mechanism S includes: a switch element; an operation shaftfor activating the switch element; and an elastic memberfor returning the operation shaft. This operation shaftincludes a push portionfor actuating the switch element; hook portionsandinserted into a through holeof the circuit boardto come into engagement with the back face of the circuit board; a flange portionopposed to the circuit board. The elastic memberis positioned between the flange portionand the circuit boardfor biasing the hook portionsandin a direction to abut against the circuit boardby its restoring force.

There is provided a pointer type instrument which can reduce a light leakage to a side of a display board, and has a pointer which includes an indication member brightened by illumination light introduced from a back side of a rotation center region R and made of a translucent resin material, and a cover member covering its outer periphery except for the back side of the rotation center region R and made of a light shielding resin material, and is driven to be rotated through a driving unit ; a display board which is disposed behind the pointer , is apart from the cover member with a predetermined gap part S intervening, and includes a light passing part corresponding to the rotation center region R; and a light source disposed behind the display board , for generating the illumination light, wherein a leakage light prevention part for suppressing a light leakage from the gap part S is provided on the back side (back side of a pedestal part ) of the rotation center region R except for an introduction part (a light receiving part , a reflection part ) of the illumination light.
