A water pump includes an impeller, a whirl chamber, a pump body including the impeller and the whirl chamber, a cover case portion and a gasket portion being positioned between the pump body and the cover case portion. The cover case portion is formed with an inlet flow passage in which a fluid is introduced to the whirl chamber and an outlet flow passage in which the fluid is discharged from the whirl chamber. The gasket portion is formed with an inlet hole opening from the whirl chamber to the inlet flow passage and an outlet hole opening from the whirl chamber to the outlet flow passage. The gasket portion includes a portion covering at least one of the inlet flow passage and the outlet flow passage in a state where the portion of the gasket portion is exposed by not being in contact with the pump body.

Water pump

A water pump includes a mechanical seal provided between a housing and a rotary shaft for preventing cooling water from leaking from a whirl chamber. The housing forms a space into which cooling water leaked from between the mechanical seal and the rotary shaft is flown and a water vent for discharging cooling water flown into the space. The housing is joined with a thermostat cover to form a reservoir communicating with the water vent. The reservoir has a drain for releasing evaporated cooling water to the air and a control wall for preventing cooling water remaining as liquid from flowing out through the drain.

A water pump comprises a pump body, a cylindrical supporting portion, a pulley, a shaft portion, an impeller, a seal member, a pulley cylinder portion, a wall portion, a through-hole formed, a cover covering the wall portion and the pulley cylinder portion of the pulley from one side of the pulley, and the cover formed in a cylindrical shape with a bottom portion and including a reservoir for receiving fluid that has leaked through the seal member.

An impeller apparatus for a water pump includes a driven side rotation body having a shaft portion and a plane portion positioned outside of the shaft portion in a radial direction, the driven side rotation body being arranged coaxially to a drive side rotation body which operates an auxiliary and being connected to the drive side rotation body through the plane portion and an intermediate member provided on an internal periphery of the drive side rotation body to project inwardly in a radial direction to integrally rotate with the drive side rotation body, and an impeller attached on the shaft portion to integrally rotate with the driven side rotation body.
