An image recording method in an image processing apparatus, includes the steps of acquiring, from a plurality of cameras, respective video images which the plurality of cameras start capturing in the sea before a first light that is lit in a first color is turned on and end capturing after a second light that is lit in a second color is turned on after the first tight is turned on, detecting, for each of the video images, a difference in luminance between chronologically adjacent frames in the video image, associating times of frames between the video images on the basis of the difference, and recording the video images with the associated times in a recording medium.

Image recording as long as possible during one activity is required in deep sea exploration. Necessity of multi-directional image recording, optical and chemical observations and probing of mineral resources of seabed are also increased. There is no underwater exploration device enable these requirements. It is disclosed that at least one battery-driven underwater exploration body having three pressure-resistant hollow glass spheres for housing an image capturing device, an illumination device, a recording device, an acoustic communication device and a control device controlling thereof and at least one battery body having an approximately the same shape and structure as the underwater exploration body are connected with each other by a connecting tool to provide the connectedly-formed underwater exploration device.

Connectedly-formed underwater exploration device

A structure of a socket contact that can establish connection with high connection reliability just by inserting core wire of a cable is provided. In the structure of a socket contact for connecting a core wire of a cable by insertion thereof, the socket contact includes a terminal contact for establishing electric connection with the core wire, and an elastic contact. The terminal contact has a contact portion for coming into contact with a side part of the core wire, and regulators erected on both sides of the contact portion in a width direction. The elastic contact has a retainer and a pusher for the core wire that are opposite to the contact portion of the terminal contact.

Structure of socket contact

A connector for cable connection having good connection workability is provided. A waterproof connector for cable connection includes a housing having a cylindrical portion for allowing a cable to which a terminal is connected to be attached thereto, a waterproof bushing, a cover member, and a clamp member. In a state that the cable is attached to the housing through the cylindrical portion, a front portion of the bushing is elastically attached to the outer periphery of the cylindrical portion, and a rear portion of the bushing is elastically attached to the outer periphery of the cable. The cover member has an attachment portion for the clamp member. The clamp member attached to the attachment portion clamps the cable.

A glass polarizer applicable to projection-type liquid crystal displays and the like and having an excellent transmittance and extinction ratio with respect to light in the visible light region (500 nm to 600 nm) using silver halide containing glass as a starting material is provided. A glass polarizer for visible light according to the present invention is a polarizer manufactured by heating and stretching borosilicate glass in which silver halide particles are dispersed and deposited by heat treatment and reducing at least a portion of silver halide particles oriented and stretched in the glass to produce metallic silver particles. An average transmittance (T&#x22a5; % 500 to 600 nm) in a wavelength range of 500 nm to 600 nm of light having a polarization plane perpendicular to a longitudinal direction of metallic silver particles having shape anisotropy that is uniaxially oriented and dispersed is 75% or more and an extinction ratio in the wavelength range is 25 dB or more.

Glass polarizer for visible light

A glass polarizer having an excellent transmittance and extinction ratio with respect to light in the visible light range including blue using silver halide containing glass as a starting material is provided. A manufacturing method according to the present invention to manufacture glass polarizers is characterized in that borosilicate glass in which silver halide particles are dispersed and deposited by heat treatment is reduced to generate metallic silver particles from at least a portion of silver halide and then, heated for stretching to generate silver halide particles oriented and stretched in the glass.

Electrical connector

A connector terminal for insertion in a terminal storage chamber of a connector housing has a terminal housing body that is formed by bending a plate material into a somewhat cylindrical form. A plurality of stabilizers are erected in at least three positions directed radially away from a centerline running along an insertion direction of the terminal housing body such that the terminal housing body is rotatable about the centerline. At least one stabilizer is formed by outwardly bending a portion of the plate material that runs along the insertion direction of the terminal housing body, and at least another stabilizer is formed by making a cut from the side wall of the terminal housing body.

Connector terminal

A connector assembly making an electrical connection through the mutual engagement of a pair of connectors. One of the connectors has a flexible lock arm, and the other connector has a lock receiver that links to this lock arm. The connector that has the lock arm also has an arm protection part that extends over a substantial portion of an outer surface of the lock arm.

A connector having a plug and a socket that may be electrically connected or detached at will. A plug housing and a socket housing are each equipped internally with at least one contact point. Provided on a sidewall of either the plug housing or the socket housing is an engaging part, and provided on a sidewall of the other housing is a latching protrusion that engages the engaging part. A cover part is provided in the vicinity of the engaging part that covers a latching part of the latching protrusion that is otherwise exposed when in an engaged state with the engaging part. The cover part is provided with an opening from which the latching part is accessible when the latching protrusion is in an engaged state with the engaging part.

A waterproof connector connects to a cable, and includes a housing where a terminal connected to an end of the cable is inserted and attached, a waterproof tube attached across the periphery of the housing and a periphery of the cable and a fastening cover capable of split fastening from a peripheral side of the waterproof tube.

Water resistant connector and connection connector

A connector has a plurality of holes formed in an insulating layer. Contacts inside these holes have contact parts at the top and bottom. Each contact has a base part, a pair of contact parts which extend up and down from the base part, a lip which is connected to the base part, and a latching part. Inside the holes of the insulation layer, there is a guide groove, which houses and retains the contact by the lip, and a stopper, which prevents the contact from slipping out by interfering with the latching part of the contact. The holes of the insulation layer house and retain the contacts while allowing for vertical movement of the contacts in the thickness direction of the insulation layer. The compression connection type connector can be aligned by a depositing device and also has a stable contact pressure.

The waterproof relay connector for connecting a lead wire includes a connector housing having a lead wire insertion hole, and lead wire retaining means for retaining the lead wire inserted in the lead wire insertion hole, an elastic portion having a through hole extending along the lead wire insertion hole, and a terminal for connection to the lead wire are provided in the connector housing. The lead wire is passed through the through hole in the elastic portion, and a conductor of the lead wire is resiliently connected to the terminal, so that a seal is formed between an inner peripheral surface of the through hole in the elastic portion and an outer peripheral surface of a covering portion of the lead wire.
