A first coolant flow passage () is provided to extend in a longitudinal direction of a cylinder head (). In at least one of cross sections perpendicular to the longitudinal direction, the first coolant flow passage () is located between a flat plane (S) including central axes of a plurality of combustion chambers () and parallel to the longitudinal direction and a central line plane (S) including central lines of a plurality of intake ports (). In at least one of cross sections perpendicular to the longitudinal direction, at least a portion () of a second coolant flow passage is located between a cylinder block mating surface (la) of the cylinder head () and the intake port central line plane (S). A coolant at a temperature lower than that of a coolant flowing in the second coolant flow passage () flows in the first coolant flow passage ().

Cylinder head of multi-cylinder engine

A ringed coolant water passageformed to surround a plurality of cylinders #-#is provided. Two partitioning members having a larger thermal expansion coefficient as compared to that of a cylinder block, and separating the ringed coolant water passageinto first passageand second passageis provided. The first passageexists mainly at one side of a longitudinal bore center plane which extends along the longitudinal direction of the cylinder blockwhile the second passageexists mainly at the other side. An electrically driven vehicle equipped with a battery usable for running in which a power generation unit of engine driven type that charges the battery is detachably mounted on a vehicle body, includes including a first connection part that brings a high-voltage system in which the battery and the power generation unit are electrically connected together into a connected state in a state in which the power generation unit is mounted in a mounting position and brings the high-voltage system into a disconnected state in a state in which the power generation unit is dismounted from the mounting position, whereby the first connection part switches a connection state of the high-voltage system in accordance with installation or removal of the power generation unit. The first connection part includes a connector on the vehicle side and a connector on the power generation unit side.

Electric drive vehicle

In an electrically driven vehicle equipped with a battery usable for running, a power generation unit of engine driven type that charges the battery is detachably mounted on the vehicle including a case where at least an engine of the power generation unit is detachably mounted, and the vehicle includes first stop means for bringing the power generation unit in a stopped state when the power generation unit is installed in or removed from the vehicle, and a generation stop switch for making an operation request to the power generation unit. More specifically, the first stop means stops an operation request signal to the power generation unit through low-voltage system wires when the generation stop switch is ON (no operation request is made).

Electrically-driven vehicle

A cylinder head of an internal combustion engine is fitted with rocker arms. Camshafts are disposed so that the rocker arms and cams will be brought into contact with each other. The camshafts are rotatably supported by lower bearings, which supports the camshafts from below, and by upper bearings integrated with a head cover. The head cover is provided with visual observation windows that make it possible to see valve system parts through the head cover. A visual observation window covers for covering the visual observation windows are fixed to the head cover.

Camshaft support structure of an internal combustion engine

A lower cam carrier is disposed over a cylinder head and a head cover is disposed thereover. The lower cam carrier has, formed as one therewith, an outer frame superposed with the edge peripheral edge of the cylinder head, and a bridging part provided between opposing sides of the outer frame part. The bridging part has a lower bearing for supporting an intake camshaft and an exhaust camshaft. The head cover has, formed as one therewith, a flange part superposed with the outer frame part and a bearing part opposing the bridging part inside the flange part. The bearing part has an upper bearing that, together with the lower bearing, supports the intake camshaft and the exhaust camshaft.
