A vehicle seat is provided. The vehicle seat includes a seat main body, and a duct that is provided in the seat main body. The duct includes an inlet port through which air is supplied, a first communication pipe which is branched from the inlet port and communicates with a first outlet port, and a second communication pipe which is branched from the inlet port and communicates with a second outlet port. The duct is provided with a heating device which is configured to supply or absorb heat to or from air flowing through at least one of the first communication pipe and the second communication pipe so as to generate a temperature difference between air discharged from the first outlet port and air discharged from the second outlet port.

Vehicle seat

A clutch mechanism in which a pressure receiving member is attached to two side frames of a seat back of a vehicle seat so as to be rotatable about rotation axes extending in a widthwise direction and in which when the pressure receiving member is rotated by a pressing load of an passenger sitting on the vehicle seat, the pressing load is selectively transmitted to an operation bracket pivotally connected to the rotation axes such that the operation bracket is rotated in the same direction as the pressure receiving member. When the pressure receiving member receives a quick pressing load, the operation bracket rotates while being mechanically integrated with the pressure receiving member, so that the pressing load can be transmitted to the operation bracket. When the pressure receiving member receives a slow pressing load, the operation bracket does not rotate, and only the pressure receiving member rotates, so that the transmission of the pressing load can be blocked.

Clutch mechanism

A connection end portion of an inner member is provided with engagement projections and a connection end portion of a stay is formed with reception grooves that are capable of axially receiving the engagement projections. When operation cable is axially inserted into a cylindrical support, the engagement projections are axially received in insertion grooves and are then transferred to terminal end positions thereof that are bent in one circumferential direction by a spring force of a spring member, so as to be elastically retained therein. When the stay is axially inserted into the cylindrical support in this condition, the engagement projections are axially received in the reception grooves and are then moved to terminal end positions thereof that are bent in the other circumferential direction. As a result, the operation cable is positioned in a condition in which the operation cable is suspended in the stay.

Cable connection structure

A connection end portion of a inner member is provided with engagement projections and a connection end portion of a stay is formed with reception grooves that are capable of axially receiving the engagement projections. When operation cable is axially inserted into a cylindrical support, the engagement projections are axially received in insertion grooves and are retained in terminal end positions thereof that are bent in a circumferential direction. When the stay is axially inserted into the cylindrical support in this condition, the engagement projections are axially received in the reception grooves and move to terminal end positions thereof that are bent in an opposite circumferential direction. As a result, the operation cable is positioned in an axial connection condition in which the operation cable is suspended in the stay.

A clutch mechanism for selectively transmitting a force applied thereto may include an operation bracket that is rotatably connected to the vehicle seat via a first pivot shaft and is connected to a force output cable, a rotatable arm that is rotatably connected to the operation bracket via the first pivot shaft and is connected to a force input cable, and a swing arm that is rotatably connected to the operation bracket via a second pivot shaft. The operation bracket includes a curved slot formed therein. The rotatable arm includes an elongated slot that has a toothed portion. The swing arm includes an engagement portion that movably engages both of the curved slot of the operation bracket and the elongated slot of the rotatable arm.

A headrest moving mechanism includes linking members that links a support portion and a headrest base portion to each other; and elongated holes formed in the headrest base portion. The elongated holes slidably receive a connection shaft provided to the support portion, thereby determining a postural position of the support portion. The elongated holes are shaped so as to move the support portion forwardly and upwardly with respect to the headrest base portion from an initial position in a time before the vehicle back-side collision happens to a collision preparatory position as the linking members are rotated.

A vehicle seat having a first support and a second support, and a first stay and a second stay for attaching a head rest to a seat back also includes a position adjusting mechanism and a retaining mechanism. The position adjusting mechanism adjusts positions of the stays with respect to the supports. The retaining mechanism prevents the stays from slipping out of the supports at positions above positions at which the stays are highest in an adjusted range by the position adjusting mechanism. A check hole for checking the connection state between two members, for example a cable and an operating rod, is formed in the first stay in such a position that the check hole is not visible when the stays are positioned in the adjusted range and is visible when the stays are prevented from slipping out of the supports by the retaining mechanism.

A connection end portion of an inner member is provided with engagement protrusions, and a connection end portion of a stay is provided with reception grooves capable of axially receiving them. By inserting an operation cable into a tube of a fit-tube portion of an ascent/descent body, the engagement protrusions are axially received in insertion grooves, and are temporarily retained at terminal end portions thereof that are bent in one peripheral direction. When the stay is inserted into the tube of the fit-tube portion, the engagement protrusions are received in the reception grooves, and are transferred to terminal end portions thereof that are bent in the other peripheral direction. Through this operation, an axial connection state is attained in which the operation cable is suspended from the stay, and the headrest is attached to the ascent/descent body to become capable of ascending and descending with respect to the seat back.

Cable connection structures

A stay is provided with an insulating member, so that only a lower stay body disposed on a lower side of the insulating member can be energized. Further, the lower stay body is set at a position in which the lower stay body is not exposed to an interior of the seat back when the head rest is vertically adjustably connected to the seat back.

Wiring structure for head rest

An operation cable has an operational structure in which an inner member inserted into a tubular outer member is pulled from a lower end side thereof. The operation cable having a double layer structure is axially connected to a double layer cable that is constructed from a stay of a headrest and a push rod inserted into the tubular stay. In particular, the stay is inserted into a support positioned on an upper portion of the seat back, a lower end of the stay and an upper end of the inner member are axially connected to each other, so that a lower end of the push rod in the tubular stay and a head portion of the outer member are positioned closer to each other. As a result, the push rod can be pushed by the head portion of the outer member when the operation cable is pulled.

A mechanism for mounting a seat belt of a center seating space of a vehicle seat which exhibits sufficient strength and reduces weight and production costs to the greatest degree is provided. Such a mechanism is provided by separating a seat into a right seating section and a left seating section at the center thereof such that each of the separated seating sections is independently slidable back and forth by means of a seat sliding rail formed of a pair of lower rails fixed to a floor side and a pair of upper rails fixed to the bottom of a seat. A base member bent at an intermediate bent portion defined by a belt mount plate portion and a rail mount connector portion is attached to a side surface of the inner upper rail at the rail connector plate portion such that the belt mount plate portion extends outward. An anchor for the seat belt of the center seating space of the seat is fixed to the top end of the belt mount plate portion of the base member.
