An electrical connector assembly has a first connector, to which a cable is connected, a second connector, which is mounted to a mounting face of a support member and into/from which the first connector is inserted/removed, and an intermediate member that prevents disengagement of the first connector from the second connector. The intermediate member has a mountable portion mounted directly, or mounted indirectly through an intermediary member, to the second connector, and a locking portion that prevents upward disengagement of the first connector, and, while the mountable portion is mounted to the second connector, the intermediate member is enabled for operational movement relative to the second connector between an open position that allows for the insertion/removal of the first connector into or from the second connector and a locked position in which disengagement of the first connector is prevented by the locking portion.

Electrical connector assembly and electronic device comprising same

The connector is provided with a terminal and a housing supporting the terminal. A portion of the terminal is exposed through the housing to form a mounting surface, and the housing has a pair of crimping pieces provided on opposite sides sandwiching the mounting surface so as to permit pivoting toward the mounting surface about fold lines. The pair of crimping pieces include, respectively, opposed faces facing the mounting surface and abutting faces brought into abutment against a counterpart crimping piece. A recessed portion that engages with a convex portion provided on the abutting face of a counterpart crimping piece when the pair of crimping pieces are pivoted is provided on one abutting face of the pair of crimping pieces. A covering portion that covers the engagement portion of the recessed and convex portions is provided on the side of the recessed portion opposite to the opposed faces.

A coaxial electrical connector connected to a circuit board having a metal outer conductor having a tubular portion and a metal center conductor equipped with a contact portion extending in the axial direction of said tubular portion within the interior space of said tubular portion, and in which said center conductor is secured in place by the outer conductor, with a dielectric interposed therebetween, the center conductor has a radial portion with a plate-shaped configuration extending radially outward from the base portion side of the contact portion, and a connecting portion placed in contact with a circuit board is formed on the bottom face of said radial portion, wherein the radial portion has grain flow lines formed by a flow of metallographic structure oriented parallel to two major surfaces opposing each other in the axial direction, and the contact portion has grain flow lines oriented in the axial direction.

Coaxial electrical connector and manufacturing method thereof

There is provided a coaxial cable connector, etc., configured such that the outer conductor shell and the connector carrier are linked by a carrier linkage part provided to part of the edge portion between the distal end and the portion of the outer conductor shell of a coaxial cable connector excluding the crimper, and the connector carrier is disposed on the distal end side of the outer conductor shell (the opposite side from the housing carrier), which simplifies the configuration of the apparatus used to manufacture the coaxial cable connector, and allows the coaxial cable connector to be assembled with the fixing position of the outer conductor shell stabilized while still linked to the connector carrier in the manufacturing process.

A coaxial electrical connector connected to a circuit board having a metal outer conductor having a tubular portion and a metal center conductor equipped with a contact portion extending in the axial direction of said tubular portion within the interior space of said tubular portion, and in which said center conductor is secured in place by the outer conductor, with a dielectric interposed therebetween, the center conductor has a radial portion with a plate-shaped configuration extending radially outward from the base portion side of the contact portion, and a connecting portion placed in contact with a circuit board is formed on the bottom face of said radial portion, wherein the radial portion has grain flow lines formed by a flow of metallographic structure oriented parallel to two major surfaces opposing each other in the axial direction, and the contact portion has grain flow lines oriented, in the axial direction.

An electrical connector device includes a first connector including a first metal shell member; and a second connector to be mounted on a board and including a second metal shell member. The second connector includes an opening portion for receiving a fitting portion of the first connector in a fitting direction. The second metal shell member includes a ground connecting portion to be contacted with the board and a ground contacting member situated in a cut hole. The ground contacting member is arrange to be capable of contacting with the first metal shell member. The ground connecting portion is arranged partially on a first imaginary straight line perpendicular to the fitting direction and a second imaginary straight line in parallel to the fitting direction so that the cut hole is not situated on the first imaginary straight line and is situated partially on the second imaginary straight line.

An electrical connector is configured to be mounted on a board. The electrical connector includes a housing having a receptacle opening portion for receiving a mating connector; a terminal member disposed in the housing; and a shell member for covering the housing. The terminal member includes a base portion fixed to the housing, an arm portion extending from the base portion toward the receptacle opening portion, a contact portion disposed at a distal end portion of the arm portion, a board connecting portion, and a rotation preventing portion extending from the board connecting portion toward the receptacle opening portion. The shell member includes a shell receiving portion extending toward the base portion. The housing includes an insertion portion disposed between the rotation preventing portion and the shell receiving portion.

Electrical connector having rotation prevention function

An electrical connector has a housing for arranging and holding terminals; and an upper shell and a lower shell formed of a metal plate and attached to the housing. The upper shell and the lower shell extend with a longitudinal direction thereof aligned with an arrangement direction of the terminals. The upper shell and the lower shell are directly connected to each other with solder at both end portions thereof in the longitudinal direction. At least one of the upper shell and the lower shell includes a protruding piece at a middle portion thereof. The other of the upper shell and the lower shell includes a hole portion or a cut portion as a receiving portion for receiving the protruding piece. The housing includes a through space portion for passing the protruding piece, so that the protruding piece is connected to a surrounding portion of the receiving portion with solder.
