Provided are a foldable optical film with excellent impact resistance and with capability to improve design quality, and an image display device including the same. An aspect of the present invention provides a foldable optical filmwith a front surfaceA and a back surfaceB opposite to the front surfaceA, wherein optical filmincludes a hard coat layer, a resin layer, and a decorative layer; the hard coat layeris located closer to the front surfaceA than the resin layerand the decorative layerin the optical film; and the resin layerhas a film thickness of 10 μm or more, and the resin layerhas a Martens hardness of 1 MPa or more and 100 MPa or less.

One aspect of the present invention provides a foldable light-transmitting optical filmfor use in an image display device, which includes a resin base material, a hard coat layerprovided on the first surfaceA of the resin base material, and a resin layerhaving a film thickness of 50 &#x3bc;m or more and 300 &#x3bc;m or less and provided on the second surfaceB of the resin base materialthat is opposite to the first surfaceA, wherein the shear storage modulus (G') of the optical filmat 25&#xb0; C. in the frequency range from 500 Hz to 1000 Hz inclusive is more than 200 MPa and 1200 MPa or less, and the shear loss modulus (G&#x2033;) of the optical film at 25&#xb0; C. in the frequency range from 500 Hz to 1000 Hz inclusive is 3 MPa or more and 150 MPa or less.
