While a base model has been determined for a product, in a system for performing a configuration designing operation of the product by setting a specification value to a specification item of the product, a product configuration design aiding system aids that a configuration designer can easily perform the configuration designing operation while following a restriction condition of a specification value of a specification item. A specification configuration information database is constructed which describes restriction conditions available for the specification values with respect to the specification item, and a configuration designing screen for inputting the specification values with respect to the specification item is displayed so as to conduct an input by the configuration designer.

System for aiding the design of product configuration

A specification plan of an order-made product suitable for a building structure plan is generated promptly. A WWW serverand a database serverare provided to the equipment designer's side. The database serverhas a drawing databasethat registers a CAD symbol for each product. A CAD symbol for each product includes: effective space information, which expresses a space to be secured for installation of the product; product name information expressing a name of the product; structure information expressing structural features (size, shape, etc.); product specification information; option data; etc. On the other hand, WWW serverhas a symbol generation data interface, through which requirements specification data for an order-made product can be received from a WWW client terminal, and a CAD symbol of the order-made product can be taken out from the side of the WWW client terminal.

Remote order acceptance design system and elevator remote order acceptance method

In a design aiding method, a design aiding apparatus having the method, or a design aiding system possessing a plurality of such design aiding apparatuses for use in a field of computer software to facilitate a design process, there is determined, for a product having many variations of attributes and values thereof, an appropriate design procedure according to a state of design in a process of determining the attribute values of the product satisfying a request of a client. At occurrence of, for example, conflict during the design, the design procedure is guided for the user to obtain a design plan conforming to the request.
