A display device mounted on a train includes: a display capable of displaying display data by a plurality of display methods with different orientations; a detector that detects the installation state of the display; and a controller that acquires train information from which it is possible to determine whether the train is currently stopped, determines whether the train is currently stopped using the train information, determines a display method for the display data in the display on the basis of a result of detection performed by the detector when the train is currently stopped, and does not determine the display method in the display when the train is not currently stopped.

Display device and display control method

An in-vehicle wireless display includes a slot antenna to transmit and receive data, a nonmagnetic member provided apart from a slot formed in the slot antenna, to cover the slot, and a display unit installed in a vehicle constituting a train, to display information on the basis of data received by the slot antenna.

In-vehicle wireless display and in-vehicle display system

First terminals are usable as input terminals or output terminals and second terminals are usable as input terminals. A switching unit switches the first terminals between input and output, based on an instruction indicating the number of first terminals to be used as output terminals. If at least one first terminal is used as an output terminal, a first signal is output to the first terminals used as output terminals. A storage unit (stores second and third signal values, the second signal value being a value of a second signal input from the input terminal, the third signal value being a value obtained by arraying a plurality of the second signal values based on the value of the first signal. A setting unit reads the second signal value or the third signal value based on the instruction signal, and acquires information on the value of the second signal input.

A coupled display device includes a first display unit and a second display unit arranged adjacent to each other and coupled. The first display unit includes a first display portion and a first frame portion including two first linear sections and two second linear sections perpendicular to the first linear sections. The second display unit includes a second display portion and a second frame portion including two third linear sections and two fourth linear sections. The first display unit is set in a first position. The second display unit is set in a second position that is inverted from the first position. The first linear sections and the third linear sections extend in an arrangement direction in which the first display unit and the second display unit are arranged. The second linear sections and the fourth linear sections extend in a direction perpendicular to the arrangement direction.

Coupled display device

A coupled display device includes display units, and a coupling component, retaining components. The display units are arranged adjacent to each other. The display units include fixers. The coupling component is disposed astride the display units to couple the display units together. The retaining components are fixed to the fixers to retain the display units and the coupling component. In the coupled display device, the fixers are point symmetric to each other with a point of symmetry at a center of a corresponding one of the display units.

A display device includes a display panel, a detachable light source, a lighting device, and a display controller. The lighting device includes an attaching and detaching slot in one side surface. The display controller is configured to control driving of the display panel so that an orientation of the image with the display device set in a first position in which the attaching and detaching slot faces toward a first side of a first direction corresponds with an orientation of the image with the display device set in a second position in which the attaching and detaching slot faces toward a second side of the first direction and the display device is inverted from the first position. The first direction is in which attachment and the detachment of the detachable light source is performed. The orientations are with respect to a second direction perpendicular to the first direction.

The on-train information providing device, which is provided with a controlling unit that transmits to the display device video data that is transmitted from the ground transmitting and receiving device to the on-train transmitting and receiving device, includes a storage unit that stores therein a program listing in which a valid period of video is stored in accordance with each advertisement, audio data transmitted from the ground transmitting and receiving device to the on-train transmitting and receiving device, and video data including audio data; and a sound recognizing unit that attaches a value of 1 or greater as an audio flag to the program listing when the video data does not include any audio data, and attaches 0 as the audio flag to the program listing when the video data includes audio data. The controlling unit sends the audio data corresponding to the audio flag to the radio radiating device.
