An image output system having a preview function for displaying a preview image corresponding to an output image before the output image is outputted, the image output system having: an output data generating apparatus having: an output data generating device for generating output data; an output data sending device for sending the generated output data to a converting apparatus; a preview data receiving device for receiving preview data from the converting apparatus; and a display device for displaying a preview image made from the received preview data, the converting apparatus having: an output data receiving device for receiving the output data from the output data generating apparatus; a converting device for converting the received output data into data suitable for an output apparatus by using converting data which includes predetermined data necessary to a process for converting; a preview data generating device for generating the preview data by using the received output data and the converting data; and a preview data sending device for sending the generated preview data to the output data generating apparatus, and the output apparatus for outputting the output image made from the output data converted by the converting apparatus.

Image output system having preview function and method of displaying preview image in image output system

A print managing system has: client apparatuses for generating print data and sending the generated print data to a printing apparatus; and the printing apparatus connected with each of the client apparatuses though a network for receiving the print data from each of the client apparatuses, managing the received print data as a print job, which is an unit corresponding to one print data received from each of the client apparatuses, and printing the received print data for each print job. Each of the client apparatuses generates the print data and sends the print data to the printing apparatus. The printing apparatus receives the print data and manages the print data as the print job. Further, the printing apparatus produces the rough image on the basis of the print data. When receiving the request signal sent from each client apparatus, the printing apparatus sends the print job information to each client apparatus. The print job information includes the management information of the print job managed by the printing apparatus and the rough image correlated with the print data corresponding to the print job. When receiving the print job information from the printing apparatus, each client apparatus displays the management information and the rough image included in the received print job information.

Print managing system and print managing method

A multilingual transmission system includes a server device and a client device. The server device analyzes the meaning and grammatical significance of a source text in a natural language. When vagueness exists in the source text, the server device displays different candidates corresponding to different interpretations of the vague source text, so that the user can select which interpretation is correct. The server device produces pivot language data accordingly and stores it. When the client device requests text data, the server device retrieves pivot language data corresponding to the requested text data. Based on the retrieved pivot language data, the server device generates target language text data in the language requested by the client device and transmits the generated target language text data to the client device. When the client device sands a key word to the server device, the server device converts the key word into a pivot language expression and searches for pivot language data containing the pivot language expression. When the server device finds pivot language data that contains the pivot language expression, the server device converts the pivot language data into the target language or the language of the key word and sands it to the client device.

A data converting apparatus mainly includes: a memory part for storing at least one set of outline data representative of an outline of one character which includes at least one straight line segment; a first determining part for comparing each of the at least one straight line segment with a predetermined reference direction and for determining whether the corresponding straight line segment has an orientation sufficiently similar to the orientation of the predetermined reference direction; a second determining part for determining whether a offset error produced when the straight line element determined by the first determining part is converted to a dot image deviates from a predetermined tolerance range; and a correction part for correcting the straight line segment determined by the second judging part so that the offset error of the straight line segment does not exceed the tolerance range; and filling-in part for converting the outline data including the straight line segment corrected by the correction part to a dot image and outputting dot data representative of the dot image.
