An interactive computer system with plural displays includes a first computer, having an input device and an output including a display and a second computer having an output including display coupled to the first computer. A voice recorder is provided to create an icon representing a recorded voice, and the icon is displayed on the display of the first computer. The input device of the first computer, which may be a mouse, is adapted to drag the icon from the display of the first computer to the display of the second computer, and to reproduce the recorded voice in response to a pointer displayed on the displays and controlled by the input device.

In a remote operation monitoring system and the like, it is a video processing apparatus capable of intuitively grasping an object operated by an operator and an operation result. A video data display controlling method and system in which an image in each image area or in each partial image area of each image area to be displayed on a display screen and designated by a user is displayed at a display quality differentiated from other areas not designated. A video data display control unit stores display state data of each displayed image in a display state management table. In a computer system for parallelly executing a plurality of tasks by sharing a plurality of resources in a data base of a computer, a use sequence of the resources to be used by each task is inputted to the computer prior to the execution of the tasks. A possibility of deadlock due to sharing of common resources amojng the tasks is checked based on the information on the use sequence, and a deadlock avoidance information table is prepared. When the task issues a start request, the deadlock avoidance information table is referred and the start of the task which has the possibility of the deadlock is delayed.
