A method for non-orthogonal transmission of a signal intended for a system with N sources, M relays and a single receiver, in which simultaneous transmission over a single spectral resource by the relays is simultaneous with a transmission over a single spectral resource by the sources. The method includes, for each relay: joint iterative detection/decoding of messages transmitted respectively by the sources during first transmission intervals to obtain decoded messages; detecting errors on the decoded messages; interleaving the detected error-free messages, followed by algebraic network coding including a linear combination, in a finite field of an order higher than two, of the interleaved messages to obtain a coded message, the linear combinations being independent, in pairs, between the relays; and channel coding to generate a signal representative of the network coded message and to transmit this signal during the subsequent transmission intervals simultaneously with a transmission by the sources.

Method of transmitting a digital signal for a non-orthogonal MS-MARC system, and a corresponding program product and relay device

A method for semi-orthogonal transmission of a signal intended for a system with N sources, M relays and a single receiver whereby the simultaneous transmission on a same spectral resource by the relays is successive and not simultaneous to a simultaneous transmission on a same spectral resource by the sources. The includes, by relay: joint iterative detection/decoding of messages transmitted respectively by the sources to obtain decoded messages, detecting errors on the decoded messages, interleaving the detected messages without errors followed by algebraic network coding consisting of a linear combination in a finite group of an order strictly higher than two of the interleaved messages to obtain a coded message, the linear combinations being independent, two by two, between the relays of the system, and formatting including channel coding to generate a signal representative of the network coded message.

Method of transmitting a digital signal for a semi-orthogonal MS-marc system, and a corresponding program product and relay device

A method and device for selective relaying in a communications network having a plurality of sources, a relay, and a reception device. The method includes the following steps: the relay receives messages transmitted respectively by the sources in order to obtain an estimate of the messages; the relay detects errors in the estimated messages; the relay transmits a representative signal to the reception device, the signal being representative of only those messages for which no error was detected and resulting from a non-bijective surjective function applied to the messages detected without error, the function including interleaving and encoding; and the representative signal being transmitted by the relay to the reception device with a control signal indicating which messages are represented in the representative signal.

Method and a device for relaying in a communications network

A method and apparatus for transmitting a signal for a network having at least four nodes comprising two transmitters, a relay, and a receiver that are connected together by non-orthogonal links implementing a spatially-distributed network code. The method includes each transmitter delivering a code word per block of K information bits and transmitting the code words during N time slots; iterative joint detection/decoding in the relay to separate respective streams and determine, per stream, a vector representative of the received code word; jointly coding two vectors derived from the two streams to determine redundancy information representative of two code words transmitted during N time slots; transmitting, by the relay, redundancy information during N time slots; and sequencing in the relay such that the redundancy information transmitted during the N time slots corresponds to the code words transmitted during the preceding N time slots.

Method of transmitting a digital signal for a marc system with a full-duplex relay, a corresponding program product and relay device

A method and device are provided for transmitting a digital signal intended for a network having at least four nodes including two transmitters, a relay and a receiver separated from one another by non-orthogonal links, except between the relay and the destination, between which the link is orthogonal, implementing a spatially distributed network code. The method includes: encoding, in each transmitter, supplying a code word for every block of K bits of information; transmitting, in the transmitters, the code word during &#x3b1;N transmission intervals, &#x3b1;&#x3b5;[0,1]; jointly, iteratively detecting/decoding, in the relay, in order to separate interfering streams from the transmitters and to determine, for each stream, a vector representing the K bits of information associated with the code word; jointly encoding, in the relay, the two vectors in order to determine redundancy information, and scheduling the relays to transmit the redundancy information during the (1&#x2212;&#x3b1;)N following transmission intervals.
