In a power transmission device for a vehicle, comprising: a transaxle casing in which a motor and a voltage power line are housed; and a cover attached so as to close an opening of the transaxle casing, the cover includes a flange portion provided at an outer edge portion of the cover and connected to the opening of the transaxle casing, a bearing support portion for a bearing that supports a rotary shaft rotatably, and a cover wall provided between the flange portion and the bearing support portion, and a valve body is attached to the cover wall so as to be positioned at a portion of the cover wall at which a direct distance between the bearing support portion and the flange portion surrounding the bearing support portion is longest.

A method of manufacturing a stator wherein a stator core is fixed by a centering jig, and in this state, a fixing hole is formed in a flange portion provided on a fastening ring for the stator core, using a central position as a reference for position, by drilling with a drill. The fixing hole is opened to be located at a distance relative to the central position. In a plan view, the fixing hole is opened at a predetermined central angle interval (for example, intervals of 120&#xb0;) relative to the central position.

Method for manufacturing stator

A motor-generator which is a rotating electrical machine is provided with a coil end cover and a plurality of connecting wires. The coil end cover forms a cooling oil passage around a coil end portion and a cooling oil passage around a coil end portion, and a cooling oil communicating passage that communicates the cooling oil passage with the cooling oil passage on the inside of the stator core. The plurality of connecting wires are provided in the cooling oil passage. The direction in which the cooling oil flows in the cooling oil passage is the same as the direction in which the connecting wires extend at an angle from the radial outside to the radial inside of the stator core. The flowrate of cooling oil in the cooling oil passage is set larger than the flowrate of cooling oil in the cooling oil passage.

Rotating electrical machine

There is provided a rotating electric machine capable of preventing a coolant from being retained at an outer surface of a rotor. This rotating electric machine includes a rotation shaft provided so as to be rotatable, a core body secured to the rotation shaft, a permanent magnet embedded in the core body, and an end plate provided so as to be opposed to an axial end surface of the core body. A first coolant channel is formed in the rotation shaft to allow a coolant to flow therethrough. A second coolant channel is formed between the end plate and the axial end surface of the core body to communicate with the first coolant channel. A partition wall that partitions the second coolant channel in a circumferential direction and a path wall that guides the coolant in the second coolant channel toward an outer peripheral edge region of the axial end surface where the permanent magnet is placed are formed inside the second coolant channel.

A rotating electric machine includes a rotation shaft arranged rotatably, a rotor having a storing hole capable of storing a permanent magnet, including the permanent magnet stored in the storing hole, and being fixed to the rotation shaft, a stator facing the rotor and including a coil, an end plate provided at an axial end of the rotor, a coolant passage formed in the end plate and running along an axial end of the permanent magnet for allowing a coolant to flow, and a discharge hole located at a radially inner side of the rotor with respect to a cooling target region including the permanent magnet and being located at an outer circumferential side of the rotor from a radially inner end of the permanent magnet, the discharge hole communicating with the coolant passage and being capable of discharging the coolant.

Rotating electric machine enabling cooling of a cooling target region

Heat discharging property of the stator coil end is improved effectively in a rotating electric machine. A motor as the rotating electric machine includes a stator and a rotor. The stator includes a stator core and resin mold coil ends provided on both axial ends thereof. Column-shaped projections projecting in the axial direction are provided on axial side surfaces of resin mold coil ends at a plurality of positions. Cooling oil supplied from above the resin mold coil ends effectively cools the resin mold coil ends.

Rotating electric machine and cooling system for the rotating electric machine

An insulating member is provided with a rear surface section, a pair of side surface sections and a pair of column sections. The rear surface section is formed to be arranged between an edgewise coil and the yoke inner circumference surface of a stator core. The pair of side surface sections extend from the rear surface section to cover the side surfaces on the slot side of teeth and are formed flexibly in the facing directions. The pair of column sections extend from the rear surface section along the end surfaces on the coil end side of the teeth, while keeping spaces between the column sections and the side surface sections so as not to disturb deformation of the side surface sections.
