Fluxgate current transducer including a control circuit and a fluxgate device comprising a saturable soft magnetic core surrounded by an excitation coil, the control circuit comprising an excitation coil drive circuit connected to the excitation coil configured to generate an alternating magnetic field to alternatingly saturate the soft magnetic core. The excitation coil comprises a first winding and a second winding connected together at a common point forming an input of the first winding and an output of the second winding, the first winding connected in series to a first switch (S) and the second winding connected in series to a second switch (S).

Fluxgate current transducer with an analog measurement channel

A current measurement system comprising a multi-phase open loop current transducer for measuring phase currents (I, I, I) flowing in a plurality n of primary conductors of a multi-phase electrical system. The transducer comprises a housing, a magnetic core including first and second core parts and a plurality n+of magnetic field detectors mounted in the housing between the first and second core parts in which portions of the primary conductors traversing the current transducer housing are positioned. The system further comprises a non-volatile memory in which information on at least one coupling matrix (K), pre-defined in a calibration procedure, is stored.
