This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for interference mitigation techniques between wireless communications and aircraft radio altimeters. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) and a network entity may support one or more signaling- or configuration-based interference avoidance mechanisms associated with usage of a C-band at one or both of the UE and the network entity. The UE may support a capability according to which the UE is able to monitor a frequency band used by aircraft radio altimeters and the UE may request a modification to a C-band connection (such as request a release of the C-band connection) if the UE detects or measures signaling from an aircraft radio altimeter. Similarly, the network entity may modify the C-band connection if the network entity receives the request from the UE or itself detects or measures signaling from an aircraft radio altimeter.

Interference mitigation techniques between wireless communications and aircraft radio altimeters

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques and apparatus for inter-frequency signal property prediction using machine learning techniques. An example method generally includes determining one or more properties of a received signal from a wireless device on a first frequency band. An estimate of the one or more properties of signals on a second frequency band is generated, while a transceiver is tuned to the first frequency band, using a machine learning model trained to generate the estimate based on the determined one or more properties of the received signal on the first frequency band. The transceiver is tuned to the second frequency band for subsequent communications with the wireless device based on the estimate of the one or more properties of the signals on the second frequency band.

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive radio resource control (RRC) signaling that indicates to configure the UE with one or more formats for transmitting a radio link control (RLC) status report. The UE may transmit the RLC status report using an indicated format, of the one or more formats or an additional format for transmitting the RLC status report, wherein use of the indicated format is based at least in part on a physical layer indication or a medium access control (MAC) layer indication. Range extension for radio link control status reporting

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a repeater may receive a first signal from a transmitting device and determine an amplified version of the signal may not be successfully received by a receiving device. The repeater may transmit a mode switch message to the transmitting device to indicate a request for the transmitting device to switch to a transmission mode associated with one or more different transmission parameters based on detecting that the amplified version of the signal may not be received by the receiving device. The transmitting device may adjust one or more transmission parameters according to the mode switch message and may transmit a second signal to the repeater based on the adjusted transmission parameters. The repeater, operating according to the mode switch message, may receive the second signal and transmit an amplified version of the second signal to the receiving device.

Coverage expansion and interference operating modes for a repeater

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A repeater may transmit a beacon signal that indicates a presence of the repeater, where the repeater is configured to repeat signals to one or more user equipments (UEs) within a wireless communications system. The repeater may receive a signal from at least one base station within a time-frequency resource that is shared by a plurality of neighboring base stations in response to transmitting the beacon signal. The repeater may transmit an amplified version of the received signal to the one or more UEs.

In certain aspects, a method for wireless communication at a user equipment (UE) includes attempting to receive, from a first base station, data via a first communication link, generating a radio link control (RLC) status report indicating a status of the data at the UE, and transmitting, to a second base station, the RLC status report via a second communication link. The UE may be simultaneously connected to the first base station and the second base station using dual connectivity. In one example, the first base station may be configured as a secondary cell group (SCG) and the second base station may be configured as a master cell group (MCG). In one example, the first communication link may be a New Radio (NR) link and the second communication link may be a Long-Term Evolution (LTE) link.

In certain aspects, a method of minimizing interference by controlling beam width of a wireless device, such as a user equipment (UE), includes configuring antenna elements of the UE to communicate in a serving cell using a first beam, monitoring a channel quality metric in the serving cell, and re-configuring the antenna elements of the UE to perform mobility measurements of one or more neighboring cells using a second beam broader than the first beam if the metric falls below a threshold value.

In some aspects, the apparatus may identify a user equipment as a drone-mounted user equipment, and/or may configure one or more parameters associated with the user equipment based at least in part on identifying the user equipment as a drone-mounted user equipment. In some aspects, the apparatus may determine, for a user equipment mounted on a drone, that a threshold is satisfied with regard to an uplink throughput, a downlink throughput, a signal strength, or a signal quality associated with the user equipment, and/or may configure a transmission power parameter or a measurement reporting parameter based at least in part on determining that the threshold is satisfied.
