A magnet holder is used in a rotational angle sensing device and is shaped in a tubular form while the magnet holder is configured to hold a magnet opposed to a magnetic sensor and is also configured to be securely press-fitted to a rotatable body. The magnet holder includes: a magnet holding portion that is located at one side of the magnet holder in an axial direction; a press-fitting fixation portion that is located at another side of the magnet holder in the axial direction; and a connecting portion that connects between the magnet holding portion and the press-fitting fixation portion. An outer diameter of the press-fitting fixation portion is different from an outer diameter of the magnet holding portion, and a wall thickness of the press-fitting fixation portion is different from a wall thickness of the magnet holding portion.

Magnet holder

A housing is shaped in a bottomed tubular form. A stator is fixed to a stator receiving portion of a tubular portion of the housing at an arbitrary angle position around an axis of the tubular portion. A heat sink is fixed to a heat sink fixing portion of the tubular portion at an arbitrary angle position around the axis of the tubular portion. A control device includes a connector for electrically connecting with an external device and is configured to control energization of the stator. Each of a plurality of externally mounting portions is a part of a bottom portion of the housing and is formed integrally with the housing in one-piece. A plurality of housing positioning holes are formed at the bottom portion of the housing and are arranged at equal intervals along a circle that is concentric with the tubular portion.

Rotary electric machine

A stator core is a stack body of plural plates. Each plate includes an annular back yoke part, plural top-connected tooth parts, plural top-separated tooth parts, plural magnetic path parts and plural top open parts. The top-connected tooth part and the top-separated tooth part protrude from the back yoke part in a radial direction. The top magnetic path part connects top ends of two top-connected tooth parts. The top open part is open to a rotor side at both sides of the top end of the top-separated tooth part. The stator core includes a back yoke, plural teeth, plural partially-connected parts and plural open parts. Each partially-connected part is formed of plural top magnetic path parts and top open parts, which extend in an axial direction. Each open part is formed of only the plural top open parts, which extend continuously in the axial direction.

A rotor has a projection part projected from an inner wall of a central hole part toward a central axis and a rib part defined between opening parts adjacent with each other in a circumferential direction. A first imaginary straight line is defined to extend from the central axis outward in a radial direction through a center of the projection part. The projection part is formed so that the first imaginary straight line passes the opening part. A second imaginary straight line is defined to extend from the central axis outward in the radial direction through a center of the rib part. The rib part is formed so that the second imaginary straight line passes a center of a pole part or an intermediate position between pole parts adjacent with each other in the circumferential direction.

Rotor and rotary electric machine having the same

Each permanent magnet provided in a rotor includes a projection that projects toward a corresponding predetermined portion of the rotor core. An inner peripheral surface of each permanent magnet, which is radially opposed to the corresponding predetermined portion of the rotor core, includes a primary contacting portion and two primary non-contacting portions. The primary contacting portion contacts the corresponding predetermined portion of the rotor core at a circumferential location, which corresponds to the projection. The primary non-contacting portions do not contact the rotor core and are located on two circumferentially opposite sides, respectively, of the primary contacting portion.

Rotor and dynamo-electric machine having the same

A rotor for a rotating electric machine includes a core body having a through-hole, a magnet, a tubular portion, and a plate part having an opening. The through-hole passes through the core body in a thickness direction. The magnet is disposed on an outer wall of the core body. The tubular portion is placed radially-outward of the core body. The plate part seals at least one end of the tubular portion in an axial direction. The opening is provided at a position corresponding to the through-hole and passes through the plate part in a thickness direction. The through-hole is one of a plurality of the through-holes, and the magnet is one of a plurality of the magnets.

A method for manufacturing a stator configured to ensure insulation properties between a conductor and an armature core while preventing a manufacturing cost from increasing and preventing a space factor from lowering. In an edge-removing step, a plurality of independent edge-removing punches, which correspond to one slot S or two or more slots S, press and chamfer a corner portion of an axial opening edge of the slot in an axial end core sheet of the armature core.

Method for manufacturing an armature core

In a motor, an armature is provided to be opposite to a rotor member for generating a rotating magnetic field. In the armature, plural sets of teeth are arranged in a direction of rotation of the rotor member such that each set of teeth in the plural sets of teeth is within one electrical angular cycle of the rotating magnetic field. The one electrical angular cycle corresponds to one pole-pair pitch of the annular rotor member. A number of teeth in the plurality of teeth within the one pole-pair pitch is set to 2k (k is a natural number), and a number of teeth facing each of the first magnetic poles in the plurality of teeth is set to be equal to or greater than the sum of k and 1.

Consequent pole permanent magnet motor

In an electric rotating machine, a stator coil is comprised of first and second winding groups. The stator coil is wound around a stator core in a concentrated winding manner so that the phase difference in electrical angle between each corresponding pair of windings of the first and second winding groups is equal to &#x3c0;/6. Further, the windings of the first and second winding groups are connected to form &#x394;-Y connections. Consequently, the sixth harmonic components of the electromagnetic forces created by the windings of the first winding group can be offset by those of the electromagnetic forces created the windings of the second winding group. As a result, the total magnetic noise and torque ripple generated in the machine can be reduced. Moreover, the machine can be driven with only a single three-phase inverter to achieve the effects of reducing the total magnetic noise and torque ripple.

Electric rotating machine drivable with a single three-phase inverter

The motor of the motor apparatus includes a rotor including a plurality of magnetic poles and a stator formed with tooth portions radially extending with a pitch equal to 5/6 times or 7/6 times a pole pitch of the rotor. Each tooth portion is formed with a brim portion circumferentially extending from both circumferential sides of the tooth portion. The phase ends of the stator winding are connected respectively to the AC ends. The DC power supply is connected between one of the DC ends and the neutral point of the stator winding. The control section controls the multi-phase inverter such that a multi-phase AC current containing a DC component flows through the stator winding. The circumferential width of the brim portion is smaller than or equal to 0.75 times a cross-sectional size of the electric wires constituting the stator winding.

Motor apparatus with voltage step-up function

An electric rotating machine is disclosed which includes a stator and a rotor. The stator includes a hollow cylindrical stator core and first and second three-phase stator coils. The stator core has a plurality of stator core teeth formed at a predetermined pitch in a circumferential direction of the stator core. Each of the first and second three-phase stator coils is comprised of three phase windings. Each of the phase windings of the first and second three-phase stator coils is wound around each of a predetermined number of the stator core teeth by a predetermined number of turns. The rotor has a plurality of magnetic poles the polarities of which alternate between north and south in the circumferential direction of the stator core. Further, the first and second three-phase stator coils are offset in the circumferential direction of the stator core to have a phase difference of &#x3c0;/6 therebetween.
