Systems and methods for remote asset verification are disclosed. The systems and methods comprise an asset and an on-board diagnostic tool configured to be coupled to an on-board diagnostic port of the asset. The on-board diagnostic tool is configured to monitor one or more parameters of the asset.

Remote asset detection system

An anti-tampering device for an RFID tag according to various aspects of the present technology may include a flexible circuit card and an anti-tamper sticker. The anti-tamper sticker may be configured to include a circuit printed on a surface of the anti-tamper sticker that is electrically coupled to the circuit card. The printed circuit may be comprised of conductive ink extending between a pair of vias that are connected to vias on the circuit card when the anti-tamper sticker is positioned over the circuit card. Any attempt to remove the anti-tamper sticker causes the printed ink to disrupt the electrical connection between the two vias breaking a circuit with the circuit card. The circuit card may be configured to respond to the disruption to indicate that the RFID tag has been compromised.

Methods and apparatus for a security sticker anti-tampering system

A flexible asset tracking tag according to various aspects of the present technology include a self-powered tracking device on a flexible substrate. The flexible asset tracking tag may be configured to transmit data in response to sensed conditions. The flexible asset tracking tag may also be configured to conserve battery power in response to programmed intervals or sensed conditions.

A system for remote detection of a fire condition includes a plurality of remote sensors and a central hub connected to each sensor to create a localized network capable of detecting changes in environmental conditioned within a geographic area defined by the locations of the sensors. The sensors may be configured to detect conditions such as changes in temperature, levels of carbon dioxide, smoke or other fire related particulates and report sensor readings back to the connected hub. The hub processes received sensor data from each sensor and generates an alert if the processed data meets any predetermined condition such as one associated with a fire. The alert may be transmitted to a tracking station with a geographic indication of where the alert was generated and a drone may be sent to the location of the geographic indication to acquire additional data to help determine if further action is required.

Systems and methods for fire detection

Systems and techniques for control of storage device power states are described herein. In some embodiments, a control system for a storage device of a computing device may include receiver logic to receive a proximity signal indicative of a distance of a user from a proximity sensor, transition logic to determine that the proximity signal satisfies out-of-proximity criteria and generate an out-transition signal based at least in part on the determination that the proximity signal satisfies the out-of-proximity criteria, and state-change logic to cause a change in a power state of the storage device from a first power state to a second power state, in response to the out-transition signal, wherein the storage device consumes less power in the second power state than in the first power state.
