Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a network entity, a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) configuration indicating an intra-slot DMRS pattern. The UE may receive, from the network entity, an indication of an inter-slot DMRS pattern. The UE may communicate, with the network entity, a message that is associated with a time domain resource allocation that includes multiple slots, the message including one or more DMRSs in accordance with the intra-slot DMRS pattern and the inter-slot DMRS pattern. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Inter-slot demodulation reference signal patterns

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A communications device may transmit a first signal. The first signal may be transmitted from a first antenna array of the communications device through a lens of the communications device in a direction. An energy of a portion of the first signal may be below a threshold based on a position of a second antenna array of the communications device. The portion of the first signal may correspond to a portion of a reflection of the first signal that overlaps with the position of the second antenna array. The communications device may concurrently receive, at the second antenna array, a second signal originating from another direction, where the second signal may be focused in the direction of the second antenna array based on the lens.

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a receiving device may receive a communication that includes at least one pilot symbol, the at least one pilot symbol including pilot signaling on a first set of one or more subcarriers and peak-to-average-power-ratio (PAPR) signaling on a second set of one or more subcarriers. Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a wireless communication device may obtain synchronization with a primary cell of a wireless network. The wireless communication device may receive an indication to activate a secondary cell of the wireless network. The wireless communication device may receive a reference signal (RS) of the secondary cell. The wireless communication device may obtain synchronization with the secondary cell based at least in part on an offset between the RS of the secondary cell and a reference time of the primary cell, the reference time based at least in part on the synchronization with the primary cell. The wireless communication device may communicate via the secondary cell based at least in part on the synchronization with the secondary cell. Numerous other aspects are described.

Secondary cell synchronization

A network node may identify a single first packet size associated with a plurality of packets. The network node may transmit the plurality of packets to a UE based on a MIRS. Each packet in the plurality of packets may be associated with the single first packet size. The UE may decode the plurality of packets based on the MIRS. Each packet in the plurality of packets may include a first number of systematic bits and a second number of parity bits. The first number of systematic bits may be associated with a first cyclic buffer at the network node. The second number of parity bits may be associated with a second cyclic buffer at the network node.

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for network assisted selection of UE antenna ports for uplink transmissions. A method for wireless communication by a user equipment (UE) includes transmitting, to a network entity, a plurality of sounding reference signals over a plurality of UE antenna ports. The method further includes receiving, from the network entity, an indication of one or more antenna port indexes associated with one or more preferred antenna ports for uplink transmissions, and transmitting UE uplink transmissions to the network entity using one or more selected antenna ports of the one or more indicated preferred antenna ports.

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for dynamically adapting a baseband resource envelope (e.g., baseband resources) allocated to a network entity. A virtual radio access network (VRAN) manager (e.g., a host platform for a VRAN) may perform baseband pooling to allocate a baseband resource envelope to a network entity for signal processing at the network entity. The network entity may perform measurements indicating the channel conditions associated with communicating with one or more user equipment (UEs), and the network entity may report the measurements to the VRAN manager. The VRAN manager may then adapt a baseband resource envelope allocated to the network entity based on the measurements to improve the utilization of processing resources.

The transmitter transmits a first plurality of RF signals across a plurality of near-field communication links to the receiver. The UE may then receive one or more control messages that indicate a first signaling pattern for one or more DMRSs and a second signaling pattern for one or more TDRSs, where the first signaling pattern corresponds to or is based on the second signaling pattern. A user equipment (UE) may report an initial capability to maintain latency conditions and a number of supported beams (e.g., a threshold number of beams the UE can support for relaying downlink communications such as synchronization signal blocks (SSBs)). A network entity may then transmit multiple SSBs directly to the repeater (e.g., on the same beam). The repeater may relay the SSBs across multiple beams to provide service to a coverage area. After relaying signaling between served UEs and the network entity, the repeater may transmit a report requesting a specific (e.g., improved or more accurate) number of beams (e.g., more beams or fewer beams than the number of SSBs initially provided). Upon receiving an updated configuration of a number of beams, the repeater may receive more SSBs on a single beam, and relay SSBs on the updated number of beams.

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may transmit a set of code blocks to multiple user equipments (UEs). The base station may receive feedback pertaining to reception of each of the set of code blocks at each of the multiple UEs. The base station may generate, based on the feedback, a retransmission message that includes encoded data representative of a subset of code blocks of the set of code blocks and additional redundancy with respect to the subset of code blocks. The multiple UEs may receive the retransmission message and extract a portion corresponding the set of code blocks that were previously unsuccessfully decoded. The UEs may combine the portion of the set of code blocks with the unsuccessfully decoded code blocks to create an updated combined versions of the code blocks. The UEs may decode the combined versions of the code blocks.

A method of wireless communication by a receiver, includes predicting, with an artificial neural network, at each data block of a set of data blocks, a least complex set of demodulator parameters that will achieve a goal, based on features of a data block expected to be received. The method also includes dynamically selecting the least complex set of demodulator parameters, from multiple sets of demodulator parameters, based on the features of the data block expected to be received. The selecting occurring to prevent degradation of demodulation performance for each data block with the selected set of demodulator parameters for the data block, with respect to a more complex set of demodulator parameters.

A user equipment (UE) may transmit a capability message indicating a capability of the UE to perform bandwidth-limited envelope tracking or a capability of the UE to compensate for bandwidth-limited envelope tracking distortion. The UE may receive a request for the UE to activate bandwidth-limited envelope tracking or a request for the UE to compensate for bandwidth-limited envelope tracking distortion. In some examples, the UE may transmit an uplink message using a bandwidth-limited envelope tracking configuration. In other examples, the UE may receive a downlink message and use digital post distortion (DPoD) to correct bandwidth-limited envelope tracking distortions in the downlink message. Aspects of the present disclosure may enable the UE to use bandwidth-limited envelope tracking and DPoD for wideband signal transmissions, which may result in lower power consumption at the UE.

Techniques for bandwidth-limited envelope tracking using digital post distortion

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for adapting or considering a receiver gain when using super-high order modulations for data transmissions. In one aspect, a network entity may transmit a tracking reference signal (TRS) in a first slot adjacent in time to a second slot allocated for one or more data transmissions associated with a high order modulation. A user equipment (UE) may receive the TRS and may adjust a receiver gain based on the TRS before receiving the one or more data transmissions associated with the high order modulation in the second slot. In another aspect, a UE may indicate (e.g., based on a receiver gain at the UE) a type of slot (e.g., shortened slot) or a maximum number of slots in which a network entity may transmit data transmissions with a high modulation order.
