A current supervisory device includes current sensing means for sensing a current; a circuit arranged to convert a signal received from the current sensing means into a signal indicative of the sensed current; a processing circuit arranged to receive the signal indicative of the sensed current, to detect an event based on the received signal such that the detecting yields an outcome corresponding to one of at least two different states, and to generate an event signal in accordance with the outcome, such that the processing circuit has modulation means for performing modulation based on the event signal; and an output terminal arranged to output a reporting signal received from said processing circuit, whereby at least one of at least two different states gives rise to the reporting signal being a modulated signal.

Current supervisory device with reliable event reporting

A current sensor device for measuring a current in a conductor comprising: current sensing means comprising a magnetic sensing element for contactlessly measuring the current; amplification means arranged to act in a first and second state, said amplification means in said first and second state being arranged for amplifying a first and second signal, respectively, from said current sensing means with an adjustable first gain and a second gain and a first and second bandwidth to yield a first and second amplified signal, respectively, wherein said first gain is higher than the second gain, wherein the first gain and the second gain are larger than 1; processing means for controlling at least said first gain, for detecting an event based on at least said second amplified signal and for producing a signal indicative of said event; an output terminal arranged for outputting a signal indicative of said current based on said first amplified signal; and an output terminal arranged for outputting said signal indicative of the event.

Current sensor device

A sensor interface circuit comprises an input arranged to receive a sensor signal being an electrical signal representative of an electrical quantity. The electrical quantity includes a physical quantity converted in a sensor. The sensor interface circuit includes conversion means arranged for converting the sensor signal into a digital signal, memory to store sensor characterisation data, signal processing means adapted to obtain a first sensor result by processing the digital signal using the sensor characterisation data, and an output unit arranged to receive and output the first sensor result, the digital signal and the sensor characterisation data.

Sensor interface circuit

The present invention relates to a half-bridge signal processing circuit comprising a first and a second branch. The first branch comprises a first stimulus responsive sense element and a first current source arranged to provide a current to the first sense element. The second branch comprises a second stimulus responsive sense element and a second current source arranged to provide a current to said second sense element. The first and the second branch have a terminal in common. The first branch comprises a first node between said the current source and the first stimulus responsive sense element configured to generate a first signal related to a voltage over the first sense element. The second branch comprises a second node between the second current source and the second stimulus responsive sense element configured to generate a second signal related to a voltage over the second sense element.

Half-bridge differential sensor

The present invention relates to an integrated circuit device comprising an output port for transmitting a data stream and a processor for controlling the transmission of the data stream in accordance with a single-edge nibble transmission protocol. The device also comprises a configuration means for receiving and storing configuration data. The processor is adapted for reporting a plurality of diagnostic statuses via the data stream by transmitting for each diagnostic status a corresponding diagnostic code defined by the configuration data, and wherein the processor is furthermore adapted for reporting the plurality of diagnostic statuses in a diagnostic status reporting order defined by the configuration data.
