A system includes a sulfur recovery unit including a thermal reactor having an acid gas inlet and an air inlet. The acid gas inlet is configured to receive a flow of acid gas, and the air inlet is configured to receive an air flow of pressurized air extracted from a gas turbine compressor of a gas turbine engine.

A method of removing gaseous byproducts from a gas stream includes generating via at least one partial-combustion device a gas stream that includes gaseous byproducts. The method also includes channeling the gas stream from the at least one partial-combustion device to a fluid compression device that is configured to increase a pressure of the gas stream. The method further includes channeling the gas stream to a gaseous byproducts removal system to absorb at least a portion of the gaseous byproducts from the gas stream using a solvent. The method also includes discharging at least a portion of the gaseous byproducts from the gaseous byproducts removal system.

Gaseous byproduct removal from synthesis gas

In certain embodiments, a system includes a gas cleaner. The gas cleaner includes a solvent to clean a syngas. The system also includes a heat exchanger configured to heat a liquid to generate a vapor. The system further includes a vapor absorption refrigeration (VAR) cycle coupled to the gas cleaner and the heat exchanger. The VAR cycle is configured to cool the solvent. In addition, the vapor drives the VAR cycle.
