A computer system may be configured to: execute a first query associated with a first panel; display the first panel in a user interface based on first display settings of the first panel, the first panel displaying at least a portion of the result of the first query, the result of the first query associated with a variable; execute a second query associated with a second panel, wherein the second query refers to the variable associated with the first query; display the second panel in the user interface based on second display settings of the second panel, the second panel displaying at least a portion of the result of the second query; and in response to user input changing the displayed result in the first panel: re-execute the second query; and update the display of the second panel in the user interface based on results of the re-executed second query.

A catalogue system automatically detects changes to configuration file at a service application. Based on the changes to the configuration file(s), the catalogue system stores mapping data that identifies a resource item type that can be processed by the service application and one or more user actions that are available for processing resource items of the resource item type. A method and system for serving assets is disclosed, comprising receiving an asset request to serve an asset, wherein the asset request originates at an application, and wherein the asset request comprises an advertisement of an asset to be served and a request for the network address of an asset server configured to serve the requested asset. The method further comprises causing a service discovery server to identify an asset server configured to serve the requested asset, and causing the requested asset to be served to the application.

Aspects of the present disclosure involve receiving references to application data of applications hosted by the servers. The application data includes information defining an interface of the application (e.g., a set of interface elements), and data types associated with the application. As a part of the process for generating a composite graphical user interface (GUI), the composite interface system receives references to application data of one or more applications at various memory locations (e.g., at both local and third-party servers). In this way, the composite interface system accesses the application data of any referenced application in order to retrieve application data to configure a composite GUI which includes interface elements of each of the referenced application.
