A network analytics controller is established in a network. The network includes a plurality of nodes. A plurality of network analytics agents is established; each agent at a node of the network. Network analytics configuration parameters, including a network analytics scope, are received at the networks analytics controller. A task is assigned to each agent at a node determined to be within the network analytics scope, the task comprising that portion of the network analytics specified in the network analytics configuration parameters relevant to the corresponding node. The assigned task is performed at each agent assigned a task. The networks analytics controller receives the results of each performed task, and aggregates the received results.

Network embedded framework for distributed network analytics

Systems and methods for managing systems using common information models (CIM) are presented. According to a method embodiment, CIM functions are provided, and a file system interface for the CIM functions is provided. An embodiment of a method receives file operation commands through a client interface and performs CIM functions corresponding to the received file operation commands based on a mapping of the file operation commands to the CIM functions.

File system interface for CIM

Systems and methods for extending and controlling access to a Common Information Model (CIM) are presented. According to an embodiment, access requests for a CIM object manager (CIMOM) pass through a CIM file system (CIMFS) where each access requested is authenticated. The CIMFS maintains and manages a hidden file system representing CIM classes and a CIM class hierarchy on a volume of storage. The structure, metadata, and values for the CIM classes, CIM object, and CIM providers are maintained in a hidden directory on the volume. This information is accessible via the CIMFS to use existing file system management operations.
