A consumable compressed tobacco product adapted to dissolve in an oral cavity. The compressed tobacco product is formed from a composition that includes at least one tobacco component, at least one flavorant, at least one filler-binder, at least one lubricant, at least one desiccant and at least one glidant. The compressed tobacco products are adapted to dissolve and provide tobacco satisfaction. A method of making a dissolvable compressed tobacco product is also provided.

Smokeless compressed tobacco product for oral consumption

A system of applying liquid flavor to cut tobacco material includes a first tank of concentrated liquid flavor and a second tank of water. A venturi device is constructed and arranged to receive and meter concentrated liquid flavor and water from the first and second tanks and to discharge mixed flavor and water from an outlet end. A first line is connected between the first tank and a suction port on the venturi device, and a second line is connected between the second tank and an intake port on the venturi device. A spray assembly is in fluid communication with the discharge outlet of the venturi device for applying mixed flavor and water to cut tobacco.

Tobacco flavor applicator

An apparatus and method for drying reconstituted tobacco sheets includes positioning a steam box below an endless conveyor belt. A slurry is cast onto the conveyor belt and conveyed over a steam box before entry into a drying apparatus. The steam box functions to pre-treat the slurry so as to increase the rate by which the slurry may be dried. The steam box includes the use of a perforated plate which encloses an upper portion of the steam box and which functions to uniformly distribute steam to the underside of the conveyor belt.
