Feedback is received from a plurality of devices. External data is also received. Statistical patterns of the plurality of devices are determined based on the feedback. A policy is determined based on the statistical patterns, the feedback, and the external data. The policy may include a set of rules dictating the operation of each of the plurality of devices and reducing energy consumption at the plurality of devices. Control data based on the policy is transmitted to the plurality of devices. The control data may be operative to transform the operation of the plurality of devices according to the set of rules.

An inline driver module includes an input connector, the input connector comprising a live contact and a neutral contact, the live contact configured to connect to a live line of an AC power socket, the neutral contact configured to connect to a neutral line of the AC power socket; an output connector, the output connector comprising a positive contact and a negative contact; and a driver module, the driver module disposed between the input connector and the output connector, the driver module comprising a driver housing and a driver PCB, a driver housing cavity defined within the driver housing, the driver PCB disposed within the driver housing cavity, the driver PCB connected in electrical communication with the live contact, the neutral contact, the positive contact, and the negative contact, the driver PCB configured to convert an AC power input from the AC power socket to a DC power output.

A trim system includes a trim housing defining a top trim housing end and a bottom trim housing end, the trim housing defining an inner trim housing surface, the inner trim housing surface defining a trim housing bore extending into the trim housing from the bottom trim housing end towards the top trim housing end, the trim housing bore defining an axis; and a trim piece defining a top trim piece end and a bottom trim piece end, the top trim piece end inserted into the trim housing bore, the trim piece including a retention clip defining a first end and a second end, the first end secured to a base of the trim piece, the second end defining at least one tooth, the at least one tooth cutting into the inner trim housing surface and axially securing the trim piece to the trim housing relative to the axis.

A downlight retrofit assembly includes a reflector, the reflector defining a top reflector end and a bottom reflector end, the reflector defining a reflector bore extending through the reflector from the top reflector end to the bottom reflector end, the reflector bore defining a top reflector aperture and a bottom reflector aperture; a lens, the lens attached to the reflector proximate the bottom reflector end, the lens covering the bottom reflector aperture; and a light engine, the light engine comprising a SSL source and PCB, the SSL source attached to the PCB, the light engine covering the top reflector aperture, the SSL source disposed within the top reflector aperture, the SSL source configured to emit light through the lens.

SSL retrofit fixture

A lighting fixture includes an elongated lens having an inner surface and an outer surface. The lighting fixture further includes a phosphor layer coupled to the inner surface of the elongated lens. The lighting fixture also includes a first reflector and a second reflector. The first reflector is attached to a first side surface of the elongated lens. The first side surface of the elongated lens is between the inner surface and the outer surface on a first elongated side of the lens. The second reflector is attached to a second side surface of the elongated lens. The second side surface of the elongated lens is between the inner surface and the outer surface on a second elongated side of the lens. The elongated lens, the phosphor layer, the first reflector, and the second reflector are extruded or molded as a single piece.

High voltage lighting fixture

Managing solid-state luminary (SSL) fixtures over power line carrier (PLC) networks is described herein. Devices provided in this description include SSL arrays, and converter circuitry coupled to drive the SSL arrays. More specifically, the converter circuitry is adapted to convert input voltage received from a power distribution network into a level suitable for driving the SSL arrays. The devices also include (PLC) modems for coupling to PLC networks, and coupled to the converter circuitry. In particular, the PLC modems interface the converter circuitry to the PLC networks.

Managing SSL fixtures over PLC networks

Technologies are described herein for an illumination device and a corresponding fixture device. The illumination device includes a luminary module for the emission of light and an identification circuit containing identifying data, while the fixture device includes a driver module for supplying power to the illumination device and a controller module. When the illumination device is connected to the fixture device, the controller module communicates with the identification circuit of the illumination device to retrieve the identifying data and causes the driver module to supply the appropriate power to the luminary module of the illumination device.

Technologies are described herein for a conductive magnetic coupling system. The system includes a signal supply component that provides electrical and/or data signals to a signal consumption component that utilizes the signal to provide an output. The two components are magnetically coupled together such that the magnetic coupling mechanisms not only provide the bonding mechanism for securing the components to one another, but also provide the electrical and communicative continuity that allows for the transfer of electrical and/or data signals between the two components. Aspects provide for the repositioning of the signal consumption component along any section of a signal supply component configured as a magnetic track system. Aspects further provide for a flexible, fluid impermeable signal supply component in which a signal consumption component is repositionable along its length.

Conductive magnetic coupling system

A light module for use as a portable light or as a light source in a track lighting system is described herein. The light module may include a module housing containing a light emitting aperture, and a light emitting diode (LED) light source located inside the module housing, where the LED light source is aligned with the light emitting aperture. The light module further includes a driver electrically connected to the LED light source, and a chargeable power supply component electrically connected to the driver. The light module also includes at least two magnets attached to the exterior of the module housing, where at least one magnet is associated with a positive electrical terminal and another magnet is associated with a negative terminal, and where at least one magnet provides electrical power to at least one of the chargeable power supply component or driver.
