A handle for a shaving razor in which the handle comprises a frame and a movable member assembly operably coupled to the frame such that the frame is disposed between the movable member assembly and where the movable member assembly portions are configured to move both above and below the frame. The movement can be linear or rotational. The movable member assembly comprises one or more springs. The first member and the second member are coupled together through said rigid member. The rigid member can include a rigid member platform which has a width to thickness ratio from about 7 to about 60.

Shaving razor cartridge

The invention is directed toward a shaving razor system. The razor system has a handle and a razor cartridge. The handle has at least one skin interconnect member in pivotal relation to a proximal end portion of the handle. The razor cartridge has a housing, at least one blade, and at least one opening which extends through the housing. The razor cartridge is engaged with the skin interconnect member when the skin interconnect member is disposed within the opening securing the razor cartridge to the proximal end portion of the handle. The razor cartridge is in a pivotal relation with the handle, but not with the skin interconnect member. A pivot point of the razor system is desirably disposed near the front blade of the cartridge. Axes of movement in the razor system can be provided by different physical order of connections of razor components.

A method of manufacturing a razor handle comprising the steps of providing an upper portion with one or more upper elements, providing a lower portion with one or more lower elements, securing the upper portion to the lower portion wherein a rigid member extends between the upper portion and the lower portion.

A severable benefit delivery member can extend from a main body connection on the main body to a pivoting head connection on the pivoting head, the benefit delivery member providing a first biasing torque on the pivoting head to affect an angular deflection about the first axis of rotation of the pivoting head relative to the main body. A spring member can extend from a spring-main-body connection on the main body to a spring-pivoting-head connection on the pivoting head, the spring member applying a second biasing torque to affect an angular deflection about the first axis of rotation of the pivoting head relative to the main body. A ratio of the sum of the first and second pivoting torques divided by the angular deflection in radians to the second pivoting torque divided by the angular deflection in radians of the pivoting head with the pivot benefit delivery connection severed can be greater than 2:1.

A shaving razor cartridge with a housing molded from a first polymeric material and having a top surface and an opposing bottom surface. The housing has a wall partially defining an opening extending from the top surface to the bottom surface. The wall has a pair of arms each with a distal end extending toward each other defining a gap. A guard is toward a front of the housing. A cap is toward a rear of the housing. At least one blade is mounted between the guard and the cap. A bridge interconnects the distal ends. The bridge is molded from a second polymeric material that is different than the first polymeric material.

The housing includes a blade support portion and a handle interface portion. The blade support portion is positioned between the front end and the rear end and includes a cap and a guard. The guard is spaced from the cap and cooperates with the cap to define a shaving plane. The handle interface portion is positioned between the front end and the rear end and includes a rear wall, a front wall, a first sidewall, and a second sidewall. The rear wall includes a lower surface and an interior surface. The front wall includes a lower surface and an interior surface and is spaced from the rear wall. The at least one razor blade is disposed in the blade support portion.

A shaving razor cartridge includes a housing and at least one razor blade. The housing extends between a front and rear end and defines an overall width. The housing includes a blade support portion and a housing portion. The blade support portion is positioned between the front and rear ends and includes a cap and a guard spaced from the cap. The handle interface portion is positioned between the front and rear ends and includes a front and rear wall. The front wall includes lower and interior surfaces. The rear wall includes a lower surface, a central portion, a first distal portion, and a second distal portion. The central, first distal and second portions each include respective interior surfaces. The at least one razor blade is disposed in the blade support portion. Each of the first distal portion and the second distal portion extends from the central portion.
