A content management system allows a user to create a collection folder to which a submitting user can add content items without being able to access content items added to the folder by other submitting users. A collection folder is created in a namespace of a collecting user and folder is made available to multiple submitting users to allow the submitting users to add items to the folder. When a submitting user first request to store a content item in the collection folder, the content management system creates a sub-folder associated with the submitting user in the collection folder and stores the content item in the sub-folder. The submitting user is given rights to the sub-folder, but is not given rights to sub-folders created for other submitting users.

An Instant Messaging security system that encrypts Instant Messages sent by a Instant Messaging user to an Instant Messaging server by intercepting the messages, negotiating a preferred security algorithm and forwarding the encrypted messages to the server. The security system intercepts and decrypts encrypted messages sent by the server to the user. The security system is able to determine whether a receiving user is equipped with a similar security system without prior knowledge of network addresses, configuration or capability. The security system is transparent to the Instant Message service provider and may provide one or more indicators to users that messages are encrypted during forwarding.

Mutual authentication systems and methods are described that comprise an authenticating server that is available across a network and capable of authenticating a user based on credentials provided by the user. An embeddable object provided by the authenticating server and containing a passphrase that identifies the server to the user. A credentials entry mechanism identifies the user to the authenticating server. A user device displays an Outer Page that can request authentication. The authenticating server verifies the source of the request and provides the passphrase to the user device. The display of the passphrase confirms the identity of the authenticating server to the user. The source of the request can be verified using a secure cookie. The embeddable object can be provided in a second page and can prevent display of the passphrase if user input is not directed to the second page.

The present invention relates to a system and method for confirming trade transactions via the Internet and/or private network to e-mail addresses. An encrypted electronic envelope and a trade confirmation document contained therein are transmitted to a customer. The customer provides a personal password to decrypt the electronic envelope to open the envelope and view the trade confirmation document. The method of transmitting the electronic envelope and the trade confirmation document provides the customer a secure and convenient manner to receive the trade confirmation. Further, after the customer has opened and closed the electronic envelope, a return receipt is transmitted back to the trade confirmation system to provide immediate notice to the system that the electronic envelope was opened and closed. The present invention also includes an exception handler subsystem for handling errors associated with the trade confirmation system.

System and method for providing trade confirmations

The present invention relates to a method for generating secure symmetric encryption/decryption via the Internet. The present method provides for a more advanced and sophisticated manner of preventing hackers from accessing sensitive and private information. Information is encrypted and decrypted using unique keys in combination with the recipient's PIN numbers. Each unique key corresponds to one recipient and is locally stored on the recipient's computer device. Thus, in order to decrypt information using the present invention, the recipient is required to provide the correct password while using the computer device that includes the unique key.
