Permission to execute a remote procedure call as requested by a first vehicle-enabled application over a first connection is validated using permissions assigned to the first vehicle-enabled application according to a policy table of the vehicle. Permission to execute the remote procedure call as requested by the second vehicle-enabled application over the second connection as forwarded to vehicle over the first connection is validated using permissions assigned to the second vehicle-enabled application according to the policy table of the vehicle.

Passthrough mobile application policy

According to one embodiment, a system for voice assistant tracking and activation includes a tracking component, a wake component, a listening component, and a link component. The tracking component is configured to track availability of a plurality of voice assistant services. The wake component is configured to determine a plurality of wake words, each plurality of wake words corresponding to a specific voice assistant service of the plurality of voice assistant services. The listening component is configured to receive audio and detect a first wake word of the plurality of wake words that corresponds to a first voice assistant service of the plurality of voice assistant services. The link component is configured to establish a voice link with the first voice assistant service for voice input by the user.

Voice assistant tracking and activation

A content projection solution includes a first device paired with an IVI system, a second device, instances of an application running on these devices, and a corresponding application server. The first device registers an application on an IVI. The application notifies the server of the registration. The IVI may broadcast IDs of registered applications over BLE. An application on the second device searches for a target to present/control application content on the IVI via the first device, either through linking of application users logged into its server from first and second devices or by detecting presence of its ID in a BLE broadcast. In response to selection of a target, the IVI requests authorization. If authorized, control inputs received on the second device are transmitted to application server, which processes them and provides content or instructions to the first device, which invokes presentation or execution thereof by the IVI.
