An example apparatus includes means for generating an application blueprint during a design phase, the application blueprint to bind a service template to a node of an application to be deployed in a cloud environment, the service template to be mapped to a plurality of services that are selectable during a runtime phase; and means for generating a deployment profile during the runtime phase, the deployment profile generating means to: select a first service and a second service from the plurality of services mapped to the service template when the application is to be deployed in the cloud environment, the first service different from the second service; generate a first deployment profile to deploy a first instance of the application based on the first service; and generate a second deployment profile to deploy a second instance of the application based on the second service.

Various embodiments for providing a user interface test and validation system are described herein. An embodiment operates by determining user interface (UI) settings and metadata, and fetching data corresponding to the metadata. A plurality of test procedures corresponding to the UI element are identified. A plurality of states to be present in a rendering of the UI element based on the plurality of test procedures, the metadata, and the data are identified. A rendering of the UI element is validated against the plurality of states. A test report is provided based on the validating.

A disclosed example to configure an application blueprint includes binding, during a design phase, a service template to a node of the application blueprint, the application blueprint corresponding to an application to be deployed, the service template mapped to a plurality of services to be selectable during a runtime phase to implement the node; and storing, during the design phase, the application blueprint for subsequent access during the runtime phase to generate a first deployment profile and a second deployment profile, the first deployment profile to deploy a first instance of the application based on a first service selected from the service template to implement the node, and the second deployment profile to deploy a second instance of the application based on a second service, different from the first service, selected from the service template to implement the node.

Disclosed examples to configure an application blueprint involve selecting, during a runtime phase, a first service and a second service from a plurality of services mapped to a service template, the service template bound to a node by an application blueprint, the application blueprint generated during a design phase; generating, during the runtime phase, a first deployment profile to deploy a first application on the node in a cloud environment, the first deployment profile based on the application blueprint, the first deployment profile identifying the first service; and generating, during the runtime phase, a second deployment profile to deploy a second application on the node in the cloud environment based on the application blueprint, the second deployment profile identifying the second service.

In general, this disclosure describes usage monitoring techniques. In one example, a method comprises storing, by a monitoring device that performs usage monitoring for at least one packet flow that traverses an access network by which subscriber devices access a packet data network, data indicating an amount of unused granted service units for the at least one packet flow that is unused as of a policy rule deactivation time for one or more policy rules matched by the at least one packet flow. The monitoring device further reactivates the usage monitoring for the at least one packet flow at a policy rule reactivation time for the one or more policy rules matched by the at least one packet flow based on an updated amount of granted service units, wherein the updated amount of granted service units are based on the data indicating the amount of unused granted service units.

Disclosed examples to configure an application blueprint involve, during a design phase, binding a service template to a node of the application blueprint. The application blueprint defines an application to be deployed in a cloud environment. The service template is mapped to a plurality of services that are selectable during a runtime phase to implement the node in the cloud environment. During the runtime phase, a first one of the services is bound to the node of the application blueprint based on the first one of the services being mapped to the service template and being selected during the runtime phase. An application deployment profile is generated based on the binding of the first one of the services to the node.

Methods, apparatus and systems are disclosed to update application deployments in cloud computing environments. An example method disclosed herein includes identifying an update profile to promote across the plurality of deployment environments, the update profile to update a component of the application, in response to a notification of promotion of the update profile received at a first deployment environment. The example method also includes displaying a user-selectable control in a user interface, the user-selectable control to specify whether to apply the update profile to the component of the application deployed in the first deployment environment, based on selection of the user-selectable control, performing a compatibility check of the first deployment environment and the update profile, and based on an outcome of the compatibility check, applying the update profile to the component of the application deployed in the first deployment environment.

Methods and apparatus to update application deployments in cloud computing environments

The disclosure is directed to a system and method of cache management for a data storage system. According to various embodiments, the cache management system includes a hinting driver and a priority controller. The hinting driver generates pointers based upon data packets intercepted from data transfer requests being processed by a host controller of the data storage system. The priority controller determines whether the data packets are associated with at least a first (high) priority level or a second (normal or low) priority level based upon the pointers generated by the hinting driver. High priority data packets are stored in cache memory regardless of whether they satisfy a threshold heat quotient (i.e. a selected level of data transfer activity).
