Handling collisions due to multiple radio resource control (RRC) connection requests

A user equipment (UE) registers on a first Public Land Mobile Network (PLMN) and, while in an idle mode, receives a Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Services (MBMS) service. The UE determines whether to perform a periodic network reselection search for a higher priority PLMN while in the idle mode, wherein the UE determines whether to perform the periodic network reselection search based on reception of the MBMS service. The UE may postpone the periodic network reselection search for a period of time while the UE receives the MBMS service in the idle mode. The UE may postpone the periodic network reselection search for a period of time while the UE receives the MBMS service in the idle mode. The UE may interleave the periodic network reselection search with the reception of transmission bursts of the MBMS service, the search being performed on frequencies other than that of the MBMS transmission.

Periodic network reselection search while receiving multimedia broadcast multicast services

A wireless communication device having a first SIM and a second SIM and a radio frequency (RF) resource including multiple receive chains and at least one transmit chain may detect, during a connection to a first network associated with the first SIM, a start of a communication activity associated with the second SIM that uses one or more transmit chains and one or more of the receive chains. The wireless communication device may determine whether a carrier frequency of a cell serving the network associated with the first SIM is within a downlink frequency range supported by an unused receive chain of the RF resource. If not, the wireless communication device may identify a neighbor cell of the first network with a carrier frequency within a downlink frequency range supported by an unused receive chain of the RF resource, and attempt to camp the first SIM on that neighbor cell.

Certain aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a wireless communication device may determine, when involved in a multimedia broadcast or multicast service, a set of parameters relating to the state of the wireless communication device. In some aspects, the wireless communication device may determine to decode a signal associated with the multimedia broadcast or multicast service during a measurement gap based at least in part on the set of parameters. In some aspects, the measurement gap may be a gap configured for performing an intra-radio access technology (IRAT) or inter-frequency cell measurement.

Techniques and apparatuses for utilizing measurement gaps to perform signal decoding for a multimedia broadcast or multicast service

The disclosure generally relates to optimizing power consumption while one or more users are inactive during a video call. More particularly, according to various aspects, a current camera view may be captured at a first user equipment (UE) during a video call with at least a second UE. In response to the first UE determining that a user associated with the first UE is inactive on a camera at the first UE (e.g., when no faces are visible in the current camera view), the first UE may reduce uplink transmissions that are allocated to video content corresponding to the current camera view while the user associated with the first UE is inactive on the camera.
